I take it the AFC EV charger can run these pads too...

Happy new year all and let’s hope there are early fireworks at AFC Energy to bring it in.

I would hope to see news re EV charger contracts, or progress towards them, during Jan - preferably the first half. Nothing during Jan would be a bit of a worry. There is potential for news soon around AlkaMem too but what and when is anyone’s guess. You never know with this company - it has a habit of surprising you with the unexpected.

I seem to remember it being vastly reduced but not completely platinum or nickel free. I can’t however back that up with a reference to a specific document but I remember being surprised at the time given the expectation it was totally free.

Spot on - I just don’t like the play being that you can be green and lazy, but in reality just the latter.

Just seen a Lexus advert for their new hybrid with the key message being that it is self-charging through a petrol engine so you don’t ever need to plug it in. Missing the point a little - ******s.

Fair enough 13 - hopefully there won’t be enough excess to worry about anyway.

TD - there will be times when the EV charger battery is full, no cars are being charged but the cell is still running - albeit at reduced power. In these situations it would be sensible to send that excess to the grid rather than waste it.

Could the same sort of model as solar be put in place where an EV situated near the grid feeds excess into it and gets paid, thereby reducing the cost?
