They play all sorts of games, they all do, we just ride on the back to try and make money, a couple of days ago on GOCO there were strings of very small trades time after time to keep it going in the direction whoever wanted it to go, the whole thing is as corrupt as hell and not here for the likes of us. Since the banking crisis which the hedge funds actually caused the game has changed somewhat, now the main market behaves like AIM, sometimes even worse. It all goes unpoliced because the roots are too deep, to get the FCA to address it would be like trying to get a Turkey to vote for Christmas.Nice work if you can get it. Basically its driving the electronic trading system where you want it to go, and somehow that is legal. JMO

If it's GS's algorithm then they can play it to keep the sp where they want it especially if there is low volume and the majority of trades are theirs. If there are some large ordinary trades it's not difficult to notice how the algo gets modified to complete their aim. How many times do you see buys outstripping sells and the price doesn't move up, they may only have 0.1% but if they do that with a load of companies then they are printing money, don't forget there are lots more exchanges they are playing on. jmo of course.

Shorting, or should I say legalised manipulation cos if you are big enough and have your mates onboard you can make it go in the direction you want, takes the gamble out of it(a luxury the PI does not have). Trigger stop losses, panic PI's into selling, get the sp going down then short some more. When it gets to where you want it buy back in and the sp rises due to all the buying, grab some more profit then short again, swing it up and down for a couple of days then leave much richer, I wonder if algobotting pays well? That's the financial elitist version of trading and unfortunately it creates a false market for us all.

Get that load sucked out and come back in 10 days as the price of bananas has gone down and we are sure as shit not related to oil.

Simple explanation the sp is directly related to bananas, big boy algo's are now feeding from PMO, bit like ENQ.

or to fake the numbers of buys/sells in the system. Have seen rows and rows of small trades in the passed so I only go for the cynical explanation.
