It’s quiet difficult to pass allotment food onwards safety. The moment you try to involve any “authority” you hit a bank of rules and litigation fears! We used to take stuff to the old style council ran old folks homes but they’ve all but disappeared. Couple of very good weekly kitchens in the town now and they can always use fresh food.. I ain’t doing anything special safety, just following the guidance I’ve been given. One lovely old lass brings me tins of beans for flowers cos I won’t take money... I wouldn’t take the beans at first so she chucked them over the fence..😂
The girls that run one of the kitchens are full time nurses on addiction wards... they feed them in their free time... makes a grown weep with humility and shame.
