There'll be no future for tullow if this rbl redet. isn't favourable - and the signs are not good.
Don't you think the ii's and the BOD can read the situation better than we pi's - why are they not buying in at these "bargain prices"?
A lot is made of the 7% short positions but what % do ii's hold long? They must see the position TLW are in and don't want to be left holding the bag - they never usually do, do they?
Imagine trying to offload millions of shares in a short time so an orderly exit is called for hence the steady falls day by day with a little rise or two along the way, usually first thing in the morning.
They were given the heads up with that TU so it will be downhill all the way from here.
And no, it won't be yet another opportunity to "top up" - best to get out now and leave well alone.
I am not short nor trying to get in lower, I'm just finally seeing the reality of TLW and trying to save you all some of your hard earned money .
down...24.7p
more like sub 20
If oil and markets hadn't been up today , Tullow would be around 24.5p

Can anyone explain the conversion business
"This will be 25p by Friday, Brent falling like a stone on lockdown news"
Agree, I've had enough, I'm getting out tomorrow first thing regardless of price.
I may return when Brent is under $45 and tlw is under 20p.
GL all longs
22p in January, after 27p next month and 21p this month.

Ant,
Sorry for the delay in replying, i'm just back from shopping.
I use cmc markets.
"My view is has it has always been, load up its a dead cert"
Agree, I'm in up to my ears, £9,000/point spreadbet, and waiting for at least 60p.
gl and patience all longs
Cat,
I hope to have the patience to wait for 80p but there's no more in the kitty for top-ups and 8p is perilously close to my close out figure and total wipe out.
I was just kidding about our after hours seller, he's probably smarter than me. I'm the one who always makes the mistakes.
He's made a terrible mistake.
90p will do me. I'm in for 8000/pt. Hope I have the patience needed with Lloy, I ran out of it with BT last week and reduced my long there to 500/pt after taking a hammering in the past 7 months.
Froggy, I doubt anyone reading these boards has the financial muscle to affect the share price and I don't suppose large pension fund managers or other institutions would take much notice of anything written here. Bt is beginning to look like a lost cause.
Yes but that could have been said at 270 or 250 or 230p. There comes a point where enough is enough, don't you think? I wish I had sold earlier, all the signs were there I just chose to ignore them, stupidly.
Froggy, how does posting an article affect my investment detrimentally?
I was searching for Bt's market cap. from past years and I came across that article. I was amazed at the similarities to today- the large job cuts, trouble within GS, talk of div. cuts and the problem of the pension deficit-"Broker Cazenove believes BT is close to 'clearing the decks' in terms of recent problems at Global Services and is ready to make a fresh start". They always seem to be "clearing the decks" and making fresh starts. I'm still long here but getting increasingly pessimistic about BT
I'm just going by the 70/30 div policy, no reason to think otherwise, all this talk of cuts is just conjecture. Anyway I have a good margin of safety in place just in case BT disappoints yet again.
Expecting the div. to rise to 11.3p and no more shocks. Confident to the tune of 2,000/point before the announcement, then maybe more depending on the results.
I really believe the worst is finally over and that BT is heading upwards so much so that I now feel it's the right time to increase my SB from 1500/pt (ave. 236p) to 3,000 max. before the final results on May 10th. I might have gone in bigger but the new margin rules coming in would leave me too exposed to a fall, in the event I've got it wrong again and with BT that's always a possibility. GL longs, summer is coming blue skies all the way :-)
