It was great to see Alain(Squeak) saddle a winner today for Fergal who is on a skiing holiday. Alain has been injured with both arms in a sling 2 dislocated shoulders and a fracture he told he hopes to start riding again at the end of February. Nothing extra strong for tomorrow but at Lingfield 1.00 ROMAN LEGION EW he's had 3 runs over 51/2 and 6furlongs and goes straight into a Handicap company for first time over a mile. I've been told tonight he's been working well and the extra 2furlongs should suit. I am sure he will get great assistance from the saddle!!!! At Huntingdon 1.20 WICKED WILLY is fit and working well and can improve in his second Handicap run. After writing this as Nigel said doubtful of any NH racing tomorrow. GLA

Thursday at Leicester 1.05 HOLIDAY ALL STAR good 1st run of season at Doncaster and down 5lb and should be thereabouts for Graeme's racing club. 1.35 HOWABOUTNEVER this horse won a class3 at Newbury 10 months ago and wouldn't have to be at his best to win this. In the 2.10 OLIVERS HILL won his last race very easily and should have no problems with 4lb hike!! In the 2.40 LORD LANDEN Conor rides this old favorite of mine gave him mints lots of times but at 12yrs old depends on what mood he's in but I have to have a small bet on him and watch him on ATR. GLA

Morning all bad day yesterday my first trainer in racing the great JACK BERRY told me once after one of my own horses ran a bad race " If horses could talk I probably wouldn't have run him today". Taunton 2.10 CALLET MAD is well thought of by NTD but I would like to see Conor win this on TROIKA STEPPES so forecast for me. Conor has been on a 16 day holiday for whip offense. Hereford 2.50 SOCKSY EW we will give him another chance working we'll love to see him win with Fergal away on skiing holiday. In the 3.20 MONEY MAID going against my yard for my old yard. Suffering man flue I think. GLA

Late Info been told to take 14/1 Wolverhampton 5.10 BROUGHTONS FANCY EW on his first run for the Gary Moored yard and my old NH jockey Timmy Murphy in saddle. GLA

Lingfield tomorrow is one of the easier NH courses and in the 1.30 NARANGA EW had a word for this at Chepstow yesterday so she must do better than the Henderson horse today. She was third in a listed Bumper at Cheltenham in November and if she runs up to that form will be in the mix. In the 2.30 DRUID'S FOLLY won well last time and will be thereabouts again working well at home. In the 3.00 PETITE POWER won well on his first run for the yard been working very well and can go in again hopefully a very good day for Paddy. At Wolverhampton 3.40 TANGRAMM EW hopefully a five week break has sweetened him up and get back into the winners enclosure for Robert. GLA

Typical Monday racing and poor standard as usual. At Chepstow today you sometimes wonder why race when you can see nothing from the stands, I was fortunate I didn't have to pay but those who did pay and there was a few thousand paid to look into blanket fog and I don't care what some people say some horses hang back in the fog they like horses in front of them?? The going was atrocious and I believe should have been cancelled. Wincanton on Saturday should have been cancelled as well. My only bet Monday at Doncaster is 1.30 HAMMERSLY LAKE and I'll put MA DU FOU in the straight forecast as well both jockeys Mullins and Davy Russell have come over from Ireland for just one ride each in this race!!! I was told at Chepstow today by very informed friend it's the bet of the week at 5/4. GLA

Fontwell looks a better card than Chepstow where I off to hopefully cheer Paddy home in the 3.00 ANNIE ALAINN EW who will hopefully make it a four timer we were on his last 3 wins. In the 3.30 VIRNON EW Alan Swinbank has sent him a long way from N.Yorkshire and Paul in the saddle, 4.00 ROCKCHASEBULLET EW I was on the gallops when he first arrived at Fergals and he is a beautiful horse had his ups and downs but will have a small EW as he's working well but 2 years off with an injury it's only a very small bet. Fontwell 2.40 ROYAL PLAZA EW unseated last time but won very impressively in November. 3.10 FLAMING CHARMER with the champ on again can follow up. 3.40 UP THE NAVAN ROAD EW ran an encouraging Bumper in Ireland last time. Finally an EW at 20/1 MISS YEATS in the 1.10 Fontwell looks good value. Hopefully a better day than today? GLA

Looks a good days racing today. Sandown 1.35 MYSTIFIABLE EW has been working extremely well and should make up for his disappointment at Newbury in November where he weakened to finish 9th hopefully he's spot on today. In the 2.25 FINIANS OSCAR won for us last time out when I said he could be another SIZZING EUROPE for the Potts and he won very impressively he is a future star I believe. I will also put him in a straight forecast with GLOBAL STAGE who has been working very well and schooled well under Paddy. Newcastle 2.10 DEEP RESOLVE EW has been running well on the all weather and should be good enough to get involved. Finally at Wincanton 2.05 FOX APPEAL won nicely last time and looked to have plenty in hand. GLA

Ludlow off so just 2 selections for Wetherby 1.05 HAPPY DIVA 3.40 NEVADA EW. Hopefully good cards tomorrow with a very interesting runner. GLA

Very poor racing for a Thursday but let's see if there's a couple of winners we can find. At Lingfield 12.50 SLIDING DOORS the champ has a very good strike rate when riding for Ian Williams. In the 2.20 STEEL CITY EW 10lb claimer could get a result!! GLA

Forgot to say have a £ EW on DIAMOND FORT EW I watched this horse working on the gallops a couple of weeks ago and has run well in Irish points. GLA

Pleased to see BEYOND THE CLOUDS win been waiting a while for it to appear on a racecourse. At Hereford 3.55 BOBBLE EMERALD EW was a good third to KAPSTADT who we were on at Cheltenham this looks easier. In the 1.25 RUBY YEATS EW with a 7lb claimer can run another big race for the inform Whittington yard. Back to U.K. tomorrow. GLA

At Ayr Kevin Ryan's Bumper horse Ayr 3.30 BEYOND THE CLOUDS is expected to win I introduced Kevin to the late Guy Reed in 2000 and he's had a lot of winners for the family. At Bangor 3.50 MALPREEDY EW Paddy rides the only mare in the race. GLA
