Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
Hi Roxbury I hope you are well, the 3,500 after yours was mine ha ha oh well we all have our limits. I was only saying at some point that this chat forum only had genuine shareholders on it and then who cropped up ? You guessed it was out friend Simes? Where did he spring up from.
I have read through that RNS several times. They did not mention the cash in the Bank as someone mentioned, also the only bad news was that the Ebitda would now be 16.5m and not 15m, so the interest will be more over a longer term. But having said that it did not justify the SP to fall from 41p to 28 While the year 23 results might reflect higher running costs, heating and inflation, as we all know inflation and economic trends change like the weather, so taking into account the 2.4p dividend I think the shares are excellent value and worth more than 40p Card Factory are 45p today and Works are 29p a difference of 16p these two businesses are generally no more than 8p apart and have a similar customer base.
Yes I think that is the Graeme Coulthard which you mentioned. These shares seem incredibly cheap I bought a few more today at 27p. Theworks is normally about 5 to 7p behind card Factory, but after t5odays fall they are 17p behind. They have no debt and they are paying 2.4p in dividend, nearly 10% yield.
Looks like someone went above 3% according to the RNS.
What I like about this board is there are no Rampers vs Derampers just honest chat about this company. I often have a look in Card then Shoe zone and Works, I find works have a nice steady turnover and the product range has improved a lot. GL
Hi Roxbury thank's , yes the sells and buys are close togeather. I bought another 2.5k and that went in as a sell also. Made quite a loss on here when it plummeted, so have averaged down. With the Directors buying some regularly as they are I can see some upside here. Works is well run IMO and worth 50p + then the 2.4p dividend if they pay it that's a yield of 8.5%
I have noticed on here that most of the buys show as sells? The 10k shares sold this morning were mine and it was a buy not a sell.
I was booked in for an operation on December 3rd 2021 and lost 5k on that morning. And I have lost the same today , I put in a sell order at Halifax negotiated when it was 2p but ended up getting 3.8p. We have all lost money my fondest commiserations to all losers on Cine but keep your heads up ! We have good times and bad times. Chins up and keep at it.
Best Harry
I did notice on here that the last director buy was on the 14th April 2021 . 15191 shares at 98.19
Cineworld sent me an email offering 2 x tickets at 8.99 each including some free pocorn , it had 2 long codes to put in, but there isn't much on at the moment. Perhaps the Fisherman movie but I watched them on the first version. But at least Cine are trying to get people in. GL
I don't like Saga I am sorry to say. They waste lots of time and money posting things out to people to try and draw in some business, often getting wrong with dates etc and trying to gain some earnings from wherever they can, but good luck with it but IMO stay away.
Hi roxbury
I have been through the mill myself , lost a lot on Pog which are now suspended, good luck my friend I hope things improve shortly I do watch what you post on here, you do seem to be amongst the most genuine contributors about Card and such like, I stayed away from here for a while because that deramper guy Simes was always saying Card is doomed , but we make our own decisions in the end.
Best Harry.
I think it was Roxbury who said theworks were good but I might be wrong perhaps he might confirm , sorry if I forgot who it is ?
There are no short positions at theworks plc and the products have improved. However I still see a target of 70p + for Card . But Dean Hoyle has his investment in a large holding at works. I did notice another poster on here saying he was in it so I have been looking at it for a time. Card has a big queue at the checkout they have loads of customers and this business is here for the duration there were loads of customers today Thursday buying balloons in big bags Good luck everyone.
I have moved half of my Card shares to the works , it is owned mostly by the Card Factory founder. They are cheap at 43p they generally hover around 5p below Card CEO bought 76000 today. They anticipate paying 2.4p dividend , just a heads up for everyone. GL
Well I still don't get why they had to sell 5 shares 70 times ? Why not just sell 350 shares in one go. Sell 350 shares 41.5p + £9.50 costs = £155.25 and these were spaced out trades over a minute or two, perhaps others know better than me.
All these five share sells today ! Followed by an 8000 share buy ! This seller can't be a private seller because the fees are minimum £9.50 a go also it disrupts the SP. The LSE should investigate multiple small quantity buys / sells. I would like to see a minimum 100 share buy or sell limit on shares which are less than a pound, unless it is the entire holding of the seller.
My 25k share buy today showed as a sell?
Nothing unusual in the AGM report, just voting back the board members at a near 100% majority. More shares bought than sold, this is just a takedown by the mms. They have been battering it down all week with no large volume only 1.5 million shares traded with the biggest trade UT 120k buy. This can only be done by the mms to create trade. No way am I selling shares which should be North of a pound for 48p these are top Card selling businesses not market stalls.
D: A very 'positive' AGM update, followed by a steady climb to excellence and an upgrade to the FTSE 250. With increased sales, profits & SP
