Founder: The group was founded in 2001 by Mario Cordoni, who serves as the CEO.
Major Stakeholder: Alessandro Zamboni, the former CEO of Supply@ME Capital plc, holds an indirect shareholding in SFE through a company he wholly owns and controls.
Proposed Acquisition: On January 6, 2026, Supply@ME Capital plc entered into non-binding heads of terms to acquire SFE's inventory ownership business, which includes independent stock companies and related assets."
Absolutely no point in doing this unless its to perpetuate syme as an entity that can work. If he simply wanted to take the IP of the Platform he could have just taken it! ages ago.
"SYME has just taken a major structural step with the proposed IOB acquisition. By moving from a platform/reseller model to owning the inventory SPVs, it removes the key barrier for bank and government-backed lending, including potential SACE-type guarantees for dual-use / defence SMEs."
Like I say ,where it is now, out of suspension, a better punt than shoving cash into a perpetual Duster finder .
