I'm saying that lloy to recover past glories will need a strong growing economy which is impossible due to two disastrous budgets.

Lloy, a very big Mortgage lender are facing a UK housing market hindered by the Chancellor , as a nation we are falling out of love with "bricks and Mortar" as a failsafe for capital. Rents are high , which may favour Lloy as a landlord but being a landlord has been made more difficult by guess whom.

Those paying rent cannot save for a deposit.

We cannot countenance the folly of 120% Mortgages again.

Never mind the "diverse income streams" . We just need a growing economy like promised re election...and it is impossible post these budgets.

Sadly the Cabinet cannot see it.

People look for a bargain even harder...and there are the Chinese ready to supply the cheap goods. Worked out pretty well for them. Despite big problems domestically the Chinese figures show 5% growth mainly through another record trade surplus.

we know most of that surplus is being ploughed into their armed forces. Rapidly increasing Naval Force, Air Force.

We in the West fuel that fire by buying cheap Chinese goods.

Any debate concerning Chinese bullying their neighbours should ask the participants if they buy Chinese ,use Shein and Temu who escape VAT charges by always sending individual packages...(Note to Chancellor! plug that gap! it's worth a fortune in revenue!!!)

I'm doing my best to avoid buying Chinese at all costs, although it's a very hard ask.

No doubt the surplus will partially used to fund the monstrous Chinese Embassy "Village" that has just been approved In the capital.

A great base to further harass ex Pat Chinese like they have been doing for years.

The Chinese will always be able to grow their economy while we buy cheap and no one has to stand for election...

If you bought cheap enough you have a squeak here of getting some or all of your cash back, and of course no loss is crystalized until shares are sold.

Those claiming Capital losses for tax purposes might be in a strange position (especially if involved in Litigation)

I was involved in production for some of the biggest ever. All the major Telecoms co's in 7 different countries. Oil and gas , including Rosneft in London and Moscow. Approx 150 in all.
