Well I do not necessarily want a branch locally , but many I know do! I'm 71 and can do most things on line although I never bank using my phone. Most of a certain age like to go into a branch and sort out problems face to face. Not wait for hours on the phone or chat to a bot that has no answers. They like to pay- in cash/ coins/ sometimes and actually have a chat! People /families used to have relationships with their bank manager.

Banking has become a vehicle for ambitious BOD's to increase their own personal wealth..we know where that led ...with scum like Fred the Shred retired in the South of France leaving a trail of destruction.

Nationwide probably the last bastion apart from building societies .....They need (those that are left) to resist the ambitions of the few to turn them into banks. They need to use their votes!

uni courses should be 2years max. 2 years of hard work not getting p eeded down the pub.. If you cannot do it in 2years or less you have taken the wrong path in life.

Not our role to subsidize aimless students who exit uni knowing nothing but their course subject! Anymore than it is our role to house and care for people who knock out kids like peas from a pod.
