No, if you invest today you do not get the dividend in May. If you invested yesterday you would be entitled to the dividend in May.

The cancelled shares to date will save £12,093,753.87 from the Final Dividend payment which goes ex-div on 11th April.

So opening price tomorrow should be around 51.28p after 1.84p dividend stripped out. Interesting to see if the share price recovers any of that over the coming days?

I read your previous post which was Sunday, but you were not holding 2 short positions on Sunday, it was only 1. You alluded then that you might open another one on Monday but you never posted that you had actually done that on Monday which is why I asked.

What about your short at 50.08p, £500pp that you opened on 20th March Falky........is that still open as you said it was on Sunday? And did you open another short at £250pp on Monday as you told everyone you were going to do on Sunday?

Well the terms she got at Black Horse must have been affordable for her or she would not have taken the loan. I have been reading through the Ombudsman's report of her case and I feel that the Ombudsman is being very biased in favour of Mrs Y in giving her the benefits of doubt.

Unless there is a large fall in share price tomorrow, he will have to close out his short for a loss or he will have to pay the dividend on the shares he has shorted when it goes ex-dividend.

That is nonsense! It is incumbent on the consumer to shop around for best deal getting quotes from more than one source to compare. If they decide to just go with the first quote without shopping around to see if there were cheaper alternatives available that is their responsibility.
