Why would they want to given the geography of the North American continent? All climates depending where you go in the States. Tropical and hot in the South, cold in the North. No need to travel abroad for the sunny beaches in summer or winter skiing holidays in winter.

I know that......but I was not referring to illegal immigrants leaving their country. I was referring to illegal immigrants ENTERING their country through their other borders! The illegal immigrants are not entering France from the UK are they! If the French were as rigorous at their other borders as they are now with our border they would stop the illegals entering France in the first place! But they don't give a feck because they know they don't want to stay in France, bet they would change their attitude if they did want to stay in France!

I would say interesting 2 weeks.........BOE MPC rate setting meeting next week as well.

A pity the French are not so diligent checking passports at their other borders! We would not have the problem of the daily armada of boats carrying illegal immigrants across the channel!

fleccy was only repeating the comment I put at the end of the buyback update I posted last night. I made that comment after seeing the volumes of buyback over the last 4 days fall of a cliff, and as fleccy has pointed out, the volumes of shares bought back over those 4 days compared to the volumes traded on each day was extremely low and did seem very strange to me. Is it just coincidence that the half year report is due to be released on Wednesday next week? Be interesting to see the volumes of buybacks and total shares traded for Monday and Tuesday next week before the half year report is released, and then volume of buyback on the day of the release of half year report and the days following it.
