A large proportion of the problem is the debt the Government got into during COVID payrolling the Furlough scheme which paid 80% of wages to keep companies afloat during lockdown. So millions of workers were sitting at home for a year or more receiving 80% of their wages, so I cannot see why there can be any complaints for raising taxes to cover that debt.

That's the only dividend they've ever paid though, a one of Special Dividend. More to come?

Or flop tomorrow to 40p...............nervous wait now to see the content of the Budget and the 'eye-wateringly difficult' decisions which will have to be made.
