SRT are placing 21.5m shares at 35p. OI are taking 14m, the others will be offered to existing shareholders.

"Could do with some uplift news." - we had the interims a month ago - they were good news - sp was up 25%. Now it's slipped right back to where it was before that. I'm happy with Interims, Finals and 2 intermediate trading updates, which is what we get with Ceres. Plus of course any significant contract news.

Get some patience!

I calculated the issue price was equivalent to a PE ratio of 14.8. That is just about average for the LSE, so it is a fair price. And if profits grow as they have been doing in the last few years, then it is decidedly cheap.

And judging the success or otherwise of an IPO after only 3 days of trading and before shares are fully liquid, is a waste of time.

You don't seem to read replies to your own posts. The timing of news releases has nothing to do with the budget or Elections. If they have price affecting news they HAVE TO release it.

Same explanation of the allocation. (of course.) Being oversubscribed is a good thing.

It continues its downward journey. No news to cause the drop, and volumes typically low. we need some good news to give it a boost. when are the finals?

I suppose the main positive was the tornado damage was not as bad as first thought.

I didn't see any mention of the baby formula court cases.

If you mean battery cars, I didn't, and many people I know didn't, not without overcoming many deficiencies:

- they are double the weight of Internal Combustion Cars (so multi story car parks would have to halve their capacity!)

- they take an age to recharge, and on long journeys there is no confidence you can find a charging point at the right time.

- they catch fire.

- insurance is expensive

- in different temperatures a charged battery offers very variable distances

- no one really knows the whole life cost of the batteries yet.

- a lot of homes are not practical for recharging.

- are batteries recyclable?

How is the price kept down by buys?

Budgets are always anticipated by the press and other political commentators ; but I've never known anything like this one - we've had months of "they are going to do this, there fore these people will suffer" etc. pure speculation, but so mush read into it.

The truth is we won't know till it happens next week.

Labout have always said their top priority is to grow the economy, so (unless that is not what they mean or unless they don't understand how the economy works) they should be doing things to help investment into UK businesses. So will it be bad for shares? we'll soon find out.

The Government have always claimed heir top priority is growth, yet everyone seems to think this up coming budget is going to tax all businesses out of existance.

I was at the AIC showcase on Friday and the AIC said the Government are spending a lot of time talking to the LSE, AIC and other investment bodies trying to work out how to increase investment in the Stock Market, and how to incentivise businesses. (They also said they do not know what will come out of those discussions.)

Budgets are always speculated on and anticipated, but I've never known anything like this one. People predicting huge tax raids everywhere. Labout keep saying their TOP priority is growth. Assuming they mean that they will want sectors dominated by British based companies to thrive, so why would they put huge taxes on gaming businesses? I'm not saying they won't, just saying it is not logical from what they have said. And the source of this is the Guardian, who don't seem to want any private enterprise to flourish.

Dino Saw is quite right. The rules of listing on the LSE say companies have to release price sensitive information as son as it is available.

Sorry - missed a bit of punctuation. I was saying it as hard to value a fast growing company like Action, as it is to value a company with no income and loads of potential.
