Same mcap as AB Dynamics now which makes less than £10m a year! Bought lots more.

I put it down to a combination of vaccine positivity and lack of news on the horizon (talking very ST). Since new year we were waiting every day for an rns that could land anytime whilst now we're at least a good few weeks away til we get that feeling again.

When it comes it will be a biggie though.

Media are reporting headlines of 95% reduction in hospitalisation due to AZN vaccine

yet governments own published plan today says 'In older people (aged 80 and over) who do develop COVID-19 infection, those who are vaccinated, most of whom have so far had one dose, have a much lower chance of hospitalisation (about 40% lower) and death (around 56% lower) than those who are unvaccinated.

Don't they mean that older people have about 60% immunity against infection and then 40% lower chance of hospitalisation if they do get infected - together giving 95% reduction in hospitalisations?

I mean theoretically.

This is something I don't understand - would effectiveness be different in normal situations compared with lockdown environment or even just an environment with social distancing and masks? Take this example - if you had 50 people given vaccine and 50 placebo and then they went about their normal week at work, pub in the evening, house party on friday night etc etc do you think you're still going to get something like 4 testing positive in vaccine group and 40 in placebo or would prolonged exposure to high viral loads affect that?

I don't know if it will be tomorrow, next week, March or midway through the year but this will rally hard back to £10 and beyond at some point.

This bb is becoming a bit too conspiratorial for my liking. There is simply no debate to be had between vaccines and therapeutics, the former is absolutely essential to get the world back to normal, the other is important alongside. Vaccines are likely to protect 95% of the perhaps 2 billion people who would be most at risk of serious illness or death from covid. Therapeutics are important to treat or at least offer a sense of security to those who could potentially be at risk because of either a) they don't get vaccinated or b) get vaccinated but are one of the unlucky ones still to catch it.

In the grand scheme of things none of this noise will make any difference to the eventual value of SNG, the only difference it makes is the ST sentiment. I'd have liked to have reduced a bit more around the £2.50 mark and am less confident of that now but will hold through to the results rather than selling out cheap. Even selling 50k treatments a month would see the mcap in the billions so all that matters is whether or not this drug is as effective an antiviral as we all hope and pray it is.

Let's not forget Tigger's amazing tip - online blockchain. Was at £1.05 last week when he assured his audience that it will be £1.50 in no time... it's currently 75p.

I'm not so sure. You're right, it might. But we are very close to significant news now. In theory the sp should be rising into March and beyond, especially if any entity starts stake building. Perhaps the two will offset each other and we'll be back stuck in the range between 150 and 190.

There's no need to all get so defensive. The problem is your average PI will be thinking along the same lines as Teo and that won't help the share price short term. It could I suppose be a rocky few weeks because of it and if so a lucky few with money on the sidelines might get some slightly lower top ups. But besides that I'm only interested in whether or not this works. If it works we all make great money from here.

Again I'm banging on about percentages, but let's say the vaccine keeps 95% of those who take it out of hospitals, and that there's an 80% uptake. On the surface that sounds excellent and the need for treatments almost void. But then you dig deeper and look at the real number of human beings that leaves. Take the US - 330m citizens, 255m over the age of 18. Of these 80% are vaccinated so 204m vaccinated and of those 193m should avoid covid or at least hospitalisation.

That would make the potential market for treatment around 65m in America. Crude figures and only a fraction of that will need a treatment like SNG, but go with just 5% - that's 3.25m americans needing our nebuliser...

That's all well and good, SNG are not hoping ( or even able) to treat 5% of the western world. Remember, even 1% of the western world getting ill a year is 12 million citizens.

In other words if it's approved 100k monthly sales is easily achievable, 5 times that is possible.

I am in (slight) agreement and don't believe like some on here that we'll be treating millions of patients a month anytime soon. But 100k treatments a month across the UK, US and Europe, maybe approval in other countries like India too would see this eventually reach £10-£20 a share, maybe higher. 100k treatments a month, 1.2 million a year is about 0.3% of the US population, or 0.2% of Europe, or combined it's treating 0.1% of Europe/USA.

Add in stockpiling, increased sales when variants cause issue and you can see this investment has legs.

The p/e is not 1.9, it's ~3.5 (profit after tax being about £150m). Your point still stands. This is super cheap and can only be explained as the market seeing 2020 as a one hit wonder. Any new contract or contract extension and this is flying.
