H2: Vametco - production 2350mtV (midpoint), costs $23.9/kg, and going with your H2 FeV of $44/kg = $47.2m
Vanchem - production 1150mtV (midpoint), costs $30.7/kg, "" "" = $15.3m giving gross profit of $62.5m

I can't be bothered to guess at what net that would give for H1 and H2 together but it is certainly well above $12m...

It's a myth that tesla is make or break for the crypto-sphere. There are reasons why Elon's tweets have had such an impact in the past... he announced tesla's £1.5b buy just as the noise around instis buying was at fever pitch - it became the signal that indeed institutions/big money were entering the space. Sadly they didn't (or haven't as of yet in the way that bitcoinners had hoped) and so his negative tweets then start causing nervousness.

Going forward without doubt Musk's tweets will move the market less and less.

If you were invested or interested in investing it would make sense to make a point of offering balance to the debate, to cut through some of the mindless ramping, but as you aren't invested or even interested in investing then yes it just comes across as bitter and a bit mean.

Would someone kindly explain to me why the volatility regarding the price of vanadium is often cited as a reason why VRFBs may never seriously take off when it seems to me that most commodities experience similar volatility? A quick google search shows me that price of lithium crashed from 170000 CNY/T in Nov 17 all the way down to 40000 CNY/T by Aug 20 and now back up to 80000 CNY/T.

Whilst there are VRFB companies springing up and receiving investment like Invinity and Enerox is the same happening for other battery technologies?

As I think faramog said after the RNS I'm viewing this as all the bad news out the way at once. Surely nothing that dramatic has changed since May 14th where guidance was 4100-4300MtV? With all the difficulties I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to take the hit now (instead of perhaps downgrading after the next trading update) with the hope of coming in at the upper bound or even above this revised guidance with the momentum to push on into 2022.

Despite all the negativity I don't expect the share price to go much lower, we were already at bargain basement prices and only surprise bad news or the trend in V reversing could possibly make it much worse imo.

The £12 ATH is irrelevant right now, that's been and gone. One has to look at the current share price and decide whether to hold, top up or sell if they are holding or whether or not to buy if they are not holding.

Before £5.70 is even achieved I'm sure Numis will have already put out a new note but it's a sensible target to go at for now.

I'd be careful of companies trading at such low PEs and EV/EBITDA ratios, it's not because nobody's come across them. If it was too good to be true it would rerate in days...

Besides a quick trade I don't think many BMN holders are going to be interested in investing in a coal producer, it's the green tech angle that gives bushveld so much potential...

If you want to work out what gross profits are likely to be going forward go with something like $22/kg for production costs, you'll see that the rise in FeV from ~$30/kg to ~ $45/kg (50% rise since around Jan) actually equates to around 300% increase in profit. This year that still won't be enormous but if the price of V holds at this level then the company will be highly profitable from the mining side of the business alone...
