That's not true @Globetrotter, you have no grounds to say what the silence so far means, that David is all at sea, just because he hasn't revealed his hand yet. I do think he has a big challenge on his hands but he's been in the job for less than a month, it's way too early to make those sorts of claims.

The market simply dislikes the uncertainty and also recognises that the cash at DA's disposal buys him and the company time - in this situation silence equals declining share price, it means continuation of the downtrend, so traders and others sit and wait for the right cue to buy back in which there hasn't been yet.

PI100 I'm sure you're absolutely right but news could start landing any day and if it does those traders won't be selling for small profits they'll be buying en masse. Gl to them if they'd prefer the safety of a guaranteed 4%...

If vaccine immunity lasted even two years it might have spelt the death of testing. What about all the therapeutics being approved, do you think they are going to be prescribed sans positive PCR test?

If testing has had its day then why are unprofitable companies like ODX with very little runway still valued at 10 x revenue? Answer - the market doesn't believe testing is finished.

As far as I know it's a grey area - there have been director purchases since the dispute started but I imagine as they get closer to resolution they would be prevented from buying due to new information coming to light...

The majority of us can disagree without calling each other names. I just think it's obvious why we are where we are, uncertainty. Most of that is inevitable due to the context in which novacyt have seen its rapid growth but it was up to Graham to do as much as possible to convince the market that there is growth to be seen here long after covid revenue has dried upon - on this front he very much failed.

Surely that's why Graham was pushed and will be a main priority of the new CEO now? How is revolting going to bring confidence back to the market?

Well you'd only be looking at novacyt to be honest if you were a contrarian investor looking for a beaten up stock with huge upside potential - inevitable to come across bickering when bottom feeding.

PI100 I look at it a little differently. The board were clearly out of their depth last year and weren't able to match the level of skill and effort they showed on the business side to the investor relation side. There has at least now been a cooling off period between the frenetic developments of last year and today, enough time to take stock - there is a new BOD and they will feel like they've got a bit of time and breathing space to get this right.

There is not much chance that novacyt are going to do a full 180 and start squandering the cash pile in a drunken excess (picturing James Wakefield and Trevor Reginald splashed across the front page of the Sun with their white powdery noses pushed deep into the crevices of two huge t**** call girls). Hopefully though the new boss will show a bit more urgency and confidence when it comes to the potential and growth of his company.

Of course there's a lot DA can do to reverse the fall, he in charge of a debt free company in a fast growing sector with £100m cash at his disposal - but yes exceptional leadership and time is certainly needed.

We will never see 900p again unless there's an entire shift in strategy from the new BOD. The problem David has is there is no way to turn this around in the immediate future, trust has been lost in the management and it will take time to build back. It's absolutely essential that he's given some time and space in the knowledge that besides hurting our own mental health (as the share price falls further) it won't make a blind bit of difference to the company.

There needs to be a line drawn under the previous administration and the next, if that means a bit more pain over the next few weeks then so be it.

I highly doubt there's much shorting going on as the risk is far too high now at this price - but yes probably the odd bit of shorting and then a bunch of traders waiting until the drip drip drip lower on tiny volume starts to peter out and then decide to start buying back in...

I'm just hoping we get news around the same time as the next spike as then it might actually have legs for once.
