Hi Sprintman...I have tried a dummy buy for various amounts, 5000 pound, 2000 pound, 500 pound and 50 pound. No quotes available for me either on the platform I use - Interactive Investor.

Buys now coming in at above 39 pence. Level 2 looking good for 40 pence and beyond very soon.

The point I am trying to make, is that for approx two months now, consistently there have been 1,000,000 buys going through the book.

If there is no 1,000,000 buy on a particular day, usually the next trading day you will see multiple 1,000,000 buys.

It's just my simplistic view from watching level 2 over the past few months.

With regards to the 3% figure, that is the threshold XYZ party must disclose to market (via rns) when crossed.

Buying on average 5,000,000 shares a week in 88E will mean a disclosure RNS will be required after 33 weeks. So we are some time of that!

I do feel the 1,000,000 buys are keeping the price supported at this level and someone is buying a decent holding under the radar.

But interestingly today we had 3 x 1,000,000 buys. If they are from the buyer I refer to, then maybe they are starting to up their ante!

They have been coming through for weeks now. I am certain someone is accumulating.

I think guzzler1962 pointed this out sometime also.

With two farm out processes under way, the current price of oil will put us in a good position. All very important when negotiating that extra 1 million or 20 million into a deal!

Hi thetic, look back at transcript of the presentation between oil search and Armstrong. Im pretty sure they said the deal was agreed at the bottom of the oil cycle price. The deal was then concluded over 6 months later at same agreed price even though Armstrong could have got alot more money as oil price was trading higher.

It really beginning to push above 38 pence now. I can feel a mini breakout coming on.

38 pence is a tough nut to crack. But some big buys have been recored over it so not expecting it to stay here for much longer. 40 pence next week.

Three quotes from DW that stand out for me:

1) 1mins 05 secs - ''The conventional potential that we have identified is now on par with the shale play''.

Brilliant news.

2) 22mins 08secs - ''When you think about what has happened in Alaska in the last 5 years you can probably guess and its not a guess, a lot of oil companies are now looking at Alaska to try take a position and there are not many ways to get into Alaska anymore. So we are one of them. So we have attracted a lot of interest but wether we can close a deal or not in a way that is highly accretive to shareholders remains to be seen. But given the potential that we have, the scale, the robustness of the data set, we are confident that we can get a deal that will deliver a lot of value to shareholders''.

Sounds like we are in the right place at the right time.

3) 27mins 30secs - ''We have had a virtual data room opened for the conventional farm out for 6 weeks, so we have generated interest. Now people are booking for for physical data room which will open next week''.

So sounds like we are getting bookings (multiple) for the physical data room? Maybe, just maybe, if interest is strong enough then tier one companies will be bidding against each other for part of our assets and that puts 88E in a very strong position.

I am quietly confident we are on the cusp of transformational news for the share price to be re-rated and 88E properly understood and valued by the market.
