Thanks Bakky, I had not read the snippet you posted. It would be really good to see this do very well and for their own products actually to sell.
By the way I was incorrect about the Green travel rules, a 2 day PCR test is required on return, though MHC's price will not encourage sales (testingforall's is 30 GBP cheaper). Bundling a FTF and 2 day test might be an option for MHC.
Yes, sold at 3.5 a few months ago and was curious to see how it turned out after I had been told that I was missing out. I really think this company should get back to developing and selling its own products.
How much would adding more green countries help MHC? Traveling to a green country from UK at most requires one Fit to fly PCR test and one lateral flow antigen test on returning to UK. MHC doesn't sell the latter and Spain doesn't even ask for the PCR test now. In any case there is plenty of competition from other companies with tie-ins to travel organizations.
Having sold up MHC a few months ago it is a bit puzzling to see people still hoping for the next announcement, still optimistic yet the price back to what it was in March (when posters were saying it would go to the moon and the price would get to 100). As expected the core business appears to have been sidelined. Where are the genetic tests - and the pipeline promised for Q1? Hope the30% allocated to marketing of the 3 million raised at the start of the year hasn't been blown already on the covid distraction.
crossover,Uraca,Uddin179 - thanks . I have been following this company for a while, would like to see something more tangible than yet another speculative marketing presentation which probably leads in time to a further round of fundraising. If they do stick to their business and get a couple of genomic tests out then that would be great foundation. Otherwise, though this is encouraging, it is not sustainable. Good luck.
I don't understand the claim for a 'fantastic product line'. There are hopes and promises for many products, definitely. But right now there is only one physical product, which has not succeeded, and a service selling someone else's Covid test. That's it. What am I missing?
MHC's roots are in fertility. This didn't succeed. The acquisition of the Genome Store last Autumn helped them broaden the story to health in general and gene testing. but then along came Covid testing. Potentially lucrative, but it is not their product or their main business. Hoping to see the originally promised pipeline and their own new products in Q1, but suspect that Covid testing will prove too tempting and distracting and their core plans will be delayed. Their only current product, MyLotus, is effectively moribund. I'm out for now.
Also there is the expectation of an update on the progress of the launch of a number of DNA tests for wellness, etc, to be developed following the acquisition of The Genome Store.
I took it that MHC is one of the network of partners with Yougene (YGEN) (https://www.yourgene-health.com/covid-19-testing) using their Clarigene test. It can be purchased from MHC at https://myhealthchecked.com/buy-covid-test/. EKF's (EKF) PrimeStore is used for containing the sample in transit.
It does appear that MHC is just a front end for YGEN in respect of the Covid test. As long as it generates revenue then that is ok, but need to see how the value of the acquisition of The Genome Store towards the overall picture.
A bit misleadingly, for searching, is that https://myhealthcheckedplc.com/ is the original (renamed) Concepta page that only mentions MyLotus and does not link to the Covid test site.
Wish they would choose a more distinctive name than 'MyHealthChecked '.
A brief search shows competitors checkmybodyhealth.co.uk, myhealthcheck.ch, myhealthcheckup.com, www.letsgetchecked.com - probably many others. They should try to stand out from the crowd.
It would be good to see Concepta's intentions with AppDx. Will the MyLotus reader be discontinued? Abingdon Health now has the strip manufacturing and has expertise in lateral flow, what will Concepta's focus be in the future?
