Might buy the wife a decent bottle on the strength of it and the £47 divi on thursday will help swell the trading pot

I only have 1000 NG but no complaints here, well up and a nice £321 divi to come next month

You should have sold out half your holding at the top and sealed in a decent profit (for Mrprofit)
held onto the cash and monitored the balance, that would have seen you infront instead of being on the back foot.
Although, I'm no better with my last 3 buy ins, weird how they all went into hemorrhage mode at once and left me totally puzzled as to why? Not that it matters as they're all part of the long term plan and I'm lucky enough to have a cupboard full of beans to fall back on lol.

Like you I'm seriously frustrated but obviously don't feel your level of pain because I've only been here 5 minutes compered to most,
It was through my own free will that I bought into Ocado and yes I did take in some of the comments on here for guidance, whilst mulling over the long term outlook within my ISA portfolio.
I know past performance is no guide and the key to all investing is buying a good company at a fair price, I got in at a premium, although I could also see the upside from the price paid, alas, it's gone abit pear shaped but I can't blame anyone for that and I'm not taking sides here.
Solutions to problems are needed and I'm all ears! Profit will take a backward step but god willing, there's always another day for it to return.
Stay humble and remember there's always somebody worse off than yourself, have a great day my friend.

No point arguing with folk who've got the shares at the basement price, WE came late to the party MrP and obviously let our heart's rule our heads.
We must follow the guidance offered or take the loss, it's that simple.

Short term we've caught a falling dagger and right between the eyes for some of us but good companies will, in most cases, stand the test of time when held for decades
My advice to anyone is, don't look a your portfolio's during carnage periods like today, unless you've a pot of money and see a buying opportunity, rash decisions cost far more than the drops.

Sell up your Ocado and put the money into Halma or Merchants Trust for dividends and a more stable S.P

I know if I were offered 5% return with zero risk on the value of my portfolio, I wouldn't have a single share to my name, as said previous, we know the pitfalls before we sign up and must spread the risk or become disenchanted.
I'm showing recent losses but if I sit them alongside the gains, I'm still on the right side and life goes on.

Halma could be anything if they ever decide to split the company and float the various divisions but still bombing on towards the £30 ceiling as is
As goes Ocado, I'm readying my tin hat for morning when trading starts, damage limitation and hopefully a willingness other shareholders are prepared to stand firm and ride this out or the S.P could really tank

Your integrity isn't being questioned Mrhold and I can see why those long invested, become somewhat defensive when there's a wobble, I'm the same with Halma and I've seen how much they fluctuate over the years, now hitting new high's and having a well covered, rock solid steady dividend.
I'm only in for 1000 shares here and it isn't the end of the world for me but it's a very expensive lesson if I get it wrong and that's why I've found the need to question recent fall's, from what I saw as a company going the other way.
Time for me to get the kettle on and you enjoy your Sunday Sir.

I don't usually bail out of anything share wise and it's usually been the correct call, hope we both get to the other side with a smile on our face. ;0)
