RE: Renewables20 May 2021 22:01
I'd like to go back to the BE slides (May 2021) from the Energy and Mines Summit somebody posted over the past week, which I cannot find the link for. It might have been lost by the trolls spamming over the thread, which is the normal practice these days.
You can see the 1000MWh opportunities statement has been moved to 2022 from 2020 in past slides, most likely due to matters out of their i.e. Eskom delays/finance/dark forces and then a pandemic. More importantly the message has not changed years later i.e. they are pretty confident of this and BMN are going to need a lot of vanadium.
Additionally I noticed this line at the bottom of slide 1:
'Targeting 50 MW of captive projects in 2021 and 200 MWh per annum thereafter.'
50MW @ 4 hours will be 200MWh so surely it must be something bigger than what IES and Enerox have to offer or is it for 2021? There are far more intelligent people like BBN, Alfa, Gambit et al who can interpret what captive projects mean. Does it include mini-grids planned for all of the current facilities (180MWh) and Pivot power? Or are these all new projects that they have not announced yet?
