Further to my post regarding production costs , I better add a bit of realism, Vametco might hit $20kg/feV next year but Vanchem might be a couple of years down the line as the Kilns are bought online. However I am now in the belief that BMN will not be selling V at a loss like the last couple of years as the world approaches normality from CV19.

I just cannot see V prices dropping below $30kg/V with VRFB's coming online and inflation. Even renewable energy growth without VRFB's will use a lot steel and likely V indirectly.

§ Vametco's production guidance of between 2,450 mtV and 2,550 mtV, and production cash cost (C1) of between US$22.7/kgV and US$23.5/kgV (ZAR346.9/kgV and ZAR358.7/kgV).

§ Vanchem's production guidance of between 1,750 mtV and 1,850 mtV, and production cash cost (C1) of between US$27.7/kgV and US$28.4/kgV (ZAR422.8/kgV and ZAR433.5/kgV).

Finally BMN is a profitable operation across the world and this should push the SP and sentiment as long as V prices stick around here or spike.

Looking forward to production costs being sub $20 per kg in the near future and all operations will no longer be a governed by fluctuations in V price. Why? because it will never drop to a level that is not profitable in the next year or so. This will be the time for us long term holders to celebrate having kept the faith.

Some interesting comments that may be in favour of Flow batteries being involved for Eskom. Quite a few lines could be straight out a BMN presentation slide.

The article about 50 Chinese Steel executives being jailed for being lax plays into the new Terry Pearles presentation. So at the moment substandard rebar has dropped from 60% to 29% from 2016 to now. Now imagine if this drives fear into the execs regarding rebar standards and more V is used to get that 29% a lot lower.
With all the predicted deficits already to 2025, one hopes this will be good for BMN's expansion and profit with the rises we are starting to see.

I do like this rise but considering the base we are at I suspect it can be easily reversed in a few days without anything concrete.

$45-50 per Kg would make me happier as a stable base as it would be more reasonable profit.

I'd love a spike right now so BMN can pay off any borrowings and pay for expansions in cash. I know it doesn't help VRFB's short term but would help my paper losses :)

I think Hlrumhsb is getting confused with the current SP and the business performance.
The SP is nowhere near where anyone wants it. However todays update is progress and Rome wasn’t built in a day.
If you are an investor then you should expect to hold for many many years as the greatest investors say.

I think with most Bio-technology companies it will always be hard to know what is a dog and what will succeed unless you see it out for the long term. RedX were struggling for cash but with negative RNS's it eventually got a deal with milestone payments which have led it to multi-bagged x10 from 2019.
I think if you invest an equal amount in 5-10 early Pharma/Bio-tech companies you will likely lose your money in most. However if you get 1-2 winners you will be a lot richer than what you started out with. That is the risk you take in the hope of a buyout.

The reason I asked, usually it’s just a premium below 100 percent of SP.
However whenever there is stake building the SP starts to rise and this is what we all want before a bid.
Hopefully we have some deals before anyone considers a buyout or gives fair value of many many multiples .

If a company had interests in buying NFX would they not build a stake first especially at these low prices?
I don't know much about mergers and acquisitions but do companies generally buy pharma from 0% to 100% in one fell swoop?
