I was just reading through the latest presentation as I don't think I had time to read through it at the time of release..
It's interesting that last year the spike in V price was attributed to potential increased rebar standards and construction in China.
70% of the Vanadium is produced by co-production of steel/pig iron as a by-product. The other 12% by the most expensive method, recovery of Vanadium in crude oil/shale. So at recent low prices unlikely viable at the moment.
If the Steel sector is going to be plateau/decline in China because of the economy and trade wars as the 'experts' say. Then this plays into BMN's hands as FM describes in the slides. The big Steel producers will reduce/shut down and V price will have to increase due to reduced co-production. The smaller opportunistic producers will also be closing after opening on the back of record prices like Loudspeaker has mentioned as occurring at 4-5 a month.
Just to remember this when there is a future sentiment concern with regards to construction, car or trade news. Vanadium will still be needed more than ever next year and I believe FM when he says stocks are in deficit.
The green shoots are appearing for the V price, but in the long run we won't be having this conversation as the majority will be used for electrolyte!

Agree Aim. All these newbies who came onboard with the Time's article probably don't realise that there is a £51m R&D milestone agreement with 20% royalties on future sales. Just from this deal, at current SP this is already de-risked for me as most new Pharma's would just have one of these deals to grow off. This make NXP001 less of a worry when people are de-ramping, as Ebers in my mind could be worth more. Obviously NXP002 will be the one that will send us into the stratosphere mind!

Hopefully BMN have already sounded out most of the mines in SA for mini-grid systems.

Maybe Fortune had to get this RNS out at 4.32pm as the detail by BBN might have looked like Insider information :)
