Mouchel appointments strengthen Liverpool business 19 December 2011 Infrastructure and business services group Mouchel has strengthened its property team with the promotion of Tony Muir to Head of Property Design Services and the appointment of Keith Jack as Head of Business Development within its 2020 Liverpool business. Tony, a chartered surveyor, joined Mouchel in 1994, initially in the specialist land and property division, LandAspects, before moving to 2020 in 2003. Most recently, Tony has been responsible for leading Mouchel's partnership with Knowsley Council. As a member of 2020's senior management team, Tony brings substantial experience in the property industry coupled with unrivalled knowledge of the firm. Keith joins 2020 this month, following a period of providing independent consultancy. With a background in engineering, including roles with companies such as Amec and Jacobs, Keith has more than 25 years' experience in senior business development and sales roles. Chris Lavery, Managing Director of Mouchel's 2020 Liverpool business, said: "I'm very pleased to welcome Tony and Keith to these key roles within Mouchel. "These appointments build on the transformation that 2020 has undergone over the past 12 months and will help us to broaden our client base and maintain the high standard of technical delivery to our clients." Liverpool City Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, Councillor Malcolm Kennedy, said: "These two appointments will give a real boost to Mouchel, and I'd like to congratulate Tony and Keith on their success. "Tony is already well respected within the city, while I'm sure Keith will bring expertise to a key development area for 2020 Liverpool. We look forward to working closely with them in the future."

on my L29advfn it shows from 8.17 onwards every transaction as a sale but on normal days this should have been caused a 20% decline in share price.i tried a dummy buy for £5000 worth shares ,the price is 5.12. may be that means the sales r actually buys.II has gotten rid off his load.any thoughts.

I disagree that they might not be profitable going forwards. They made an operational profit of £5 million this year despite all the mistakes. £46 million of the exceptional losses is attributable to the write-down of Hydra which they stupidly paid £50 million for a couple of years ago. This is more of an accounts balancing rather than a loss as the £50 million paid is already plain for all to see in Mouchel's debt. Another £10 million of exceptional loss is from payments that are not expected to be received from work done in the Middle East I understand. So really the picture shouldn't be looking as bleak as the current share price suggests. By Elviron1

I spoke with the lady who has been in the thick of it,the new top tier management and raised my concerns reg.company,shareprice,takeover,etc.Her replies,we have the new executive including the turnaround specialist david shearer.Mr Rumbles has clearly stated the company is not going bust.We are taking a medium to long term view.In medium term we will start winning the contracts as the banks r happy.We are taking a strategic view,Ernst & Young have been appointed.We are changing the operating model.We will take every single step to reduce overheads that may include getting rid of millions worth of equity.We are keeping all our options open including being taken over.Next AGM is in January & we wil be able to give you the precise positive direction of the company.Share price doesn't mean any thing now.some II'S are not happy so they r getting rid of the stock,cant to much about that.

i have managed to speak to someone in the management of Mouchel and the feedback is extremely positive.i will post it later as i am at work.its nicely ticking up.

However, it said it has made an encouraging start in developing Australasia business in partnership with Downer which has yielded £138m of highway maintenance contracts over five years. It has also achieved a five year extension to its partnership with Middlesbrough council worth £70m and has a 10-year partnership with Bournemouth council worth £148m. Liverpool stockbroker Panmure Gordon today described Mouchel’s stock as “only one for the brave” but maintained its ‘hold’ recommendation, with analyst Andy Brown saying: “It is encouraging that Mouchel managed to get its full year results out. “Headline numbers are disappointing but, with a £1.4bn order book and new management, it looks like it can continue from here. hi,just wanted to ask your opinion about large trades in last couple of days

sp. will go up,todays drop is esp. due to short term profit taking.2-3 days ago sp. was 9-10.the biggest concern was the company not being able to meet its liabilities which now has been put to rest.new contracts r being won.skeletons r out.bidding prospects.its only a matter of time the price will move up.

has indeed started.been to auction twice in the first hour.mms must be short of shares.GOOD NEWS r due in tomorrow and the bid prospects have increased.
