The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Either the hostiles build up a big holding or the BOD throw us a carrot. Win win. SP on the up.
Same thing happened at PFP. Battle for control usually means share price up. All IMHO.
Interesting. I guess interested parties will want to boost their stock holdings.
Or is the advertised bid/ask misleading?
A very good point Truro. I dont think he was wrong about the product, which if you look at no orders in 9 months is very concerning. What the hell are they doing? They need serious advice on their sales approach imho. What did they do with all the money from the placing. They need a more direct sales approach rather than flouncing round the world attending fruitless conferences.
Never mind, it will imminently be Christmas.
All these old figures just remind folk that this is a yesterday share, UNTIL THEY GET SOME ORDERS. Sell after sell after sell. At least all our money spent on fruitless conferences allowed that big seller to get out yesterday.
Dont know. It depends if they closed their short too early, varied the stakes, got closed out on a margin call, etc,etc...
Bit like saying I made £5000 on a share 12 months ago, so I dont mind losing £2,500 this morning. LOL, over the moon to be losing. More expertise.
I was talking about this morning anyway.
LOL, a1m1, yeah everyone puts a long or short on and just leaves it forever. Is that another bit of your expertise I can benefit from?
LOL, i would imagine most would have traded in and out since then, mitigating losses or indeed profiting. I can say with 100% certainty those with shorts open this morning lost big style. Not as big as the other week mind you, when the sharp rise up to 3.2 would have triggered their margin calls. Not that would have been sickening.
Ouch, couldnt even close the short. Nasty.
Feeling the stress today. Losing big on the shorts, expensive day for them.
