RE: World bank monthly coal price for May'223 Jun 2022 21:56
I'd noticed previously that both the Pink Sheets price and the weekly coal price from Mining Weekly seemed to be lower than the averages TGA stated so hopefully that will be the case again....we'll know soon enough.
Hopefully a trading statement soon.
Re. The R189, I received it a few days after the dividend, very uninspiring, a "Consolidated Overseas Schedule", just a single sheet with my details and number of shares, ISIN, Gross Payment, Withholding Tax Amount, Net Payment etc
As I'm self-employed I'll pass it on to my accountant otherwise I suppose I'd call HMRC and ask for advice. As long as it gets me my 10% I'm not bothered. One point of note, when on the web chat to Barclays they asked which tax year I wanted the R189 for which tends to make me suspect some of the rubbish I was spouting about a few months ago might actually be correct-if you've had withholding from a SA company in the past you might be able to get that back too. If your broker has refused to send a form call HMRC, also now the vote went against buybacks for the present it also makes it relevant for the future divi's. You've nothing to lose and maybe some cash to gain.
