I hate to say it for fear of jinxing it, but it looks like the buyers are finally in control here
I think most would accept something starting with a £2... I know I would. I have only been here about 6 weeks though, but I would expect most who have been here under a year would feel the same, if we say on average people who got in during that time have a cost basis of 80p that would be a 150% gain in less than a year, very nice regardless if you think it's worth more.
Appreciate it will be different if your average is up over the £1 mark though I suppose.
I take your point @ct10, I think this mainly highlights how people have a decreased activity level as they age. They may have worked on the frontline of a business for example, and then get into management which maybe less physically intensive and then you get the drop at 60 when people retire and become even less active. It's important to stay active and to do resistance training to ensure you try and keep as much of that muscle mass as possible in to later years, this in turn keeps your metabolism higher and in turn your appetite.
My post was not to rag on supplements I use them myself now and again but people reading Matt's post in isolation may conclude that protein is some kind of wonder macronutrient.
"Today, there’s rapidly growing awareness of the importance of daily protein levels. More and more research proves the critical role of protein consumption in anti-aging and longevity."
Yup before you have your evening beer(s) do a press-up at market close for every time Apollo has mentioned on this board for the day, you'll be a greek god in no time ;)
Of course as humans we all need protein to build and repair our bodies. All I am saying is most people have no clue how much we really need which is quite little in fact. The government RDA guidelines top out at about 55g for men around the age of 18, there's 61g in a chicken breast, if you're going hard on your body in the gym and at work then go ahead and have two chicken breasts.
Nobody who doesn't have an eating disorder or a terrible diet in the west is protein deficient. I have competed in power lifting and consumption of protein powders unless you're trying to cut weight is fairly unnecessary.
Not sure I really agree with Matt when he is saying how important protein is, the amount that a normal individual in the street needs who doesn't have a physically intense job or athletic interests is trivial and easily obtained if you're eating a balanced diet and getting your recommended daily calories. The importance of protein is often overexaggerated by the industries that sell it to you like the fitness/meat/dairy/egg industries.
Agree with FFObsessed, do not leverage yourself to invest it's dangerous you're not only amplifying the reward but the risk, and because you're leveraged it will also influence your decision making.
Started weak and strengthened throughout the day as usual, everyone ready for groundhog day tomorrow? ;)
Would not at all be surprised if they drop it the high 60s to panic a few people
I have 145k of these @ 58p if they think they're getting a single one then they're sadly mistaken, I see no reasonable argument to sell at this time.
Well put zstarz
Would be nice for Amazon to cut us a check but when someone says I heard on Twitter.. I just here "This bloke down the pub said..."
I wouldn't disregard the inflation figures today having a negative impact. If as others have stated Qubes shorting is algo driven then surely those algo's would have taken thismornings data at increased perhaps dumb to the information in the RNS.
The reaction is tainted by inflation data and BoE rate hike to come tomorrow, I was only thinking lastnight even if we had positive news and AGM these two events could poor cold water on sentiment.
If you could get a favourable bid/ask that is licker, it always at it's most volatile at those times and I rarely get the best price from experience.
I've had my eye on it too and it's been a wild swing this morning, like almost testing both ends of the spectrum... bring it to 74p to try and shake out people who are in for a couple of pence/% trade and then drop it to just below 70p to pop those stop losses.
Could be reading too much in to it but that's exactly what you would do with the price to shake out as many shares as possible.
Some profit taking here is not surprising it's normal after a run like we've had and a few days consolidation here before pushing on is no bad thing. At the moment it looks like the 70p resistance price has turned in to support.
Bwana4 just to clarify my comment was just about the THG share chat over there in general and not aimed as negativity towards you.
I can see you're active on the AAZ share chat there but I can't find any chart, the ADVFN website in general is like something out of the early 2000's I find it painful to use.
I like technicals but I tend to just focus on price/trends/volume and from those stand points we look in good shape at the moment at least.
I took a look at the advfn board too and agree it’s a cesspit.
My core holding is up 29% the extras I bought yesterday up 10% already so glad I took the plunge, but not really interested in selling any until we're over a £
