I'm as cynical as the next person, nevertheless remain optimistic & hopeful. We are all on the outside, definitely not saying anything untoward, but my optimism stems from the fact that 6 directors have bought shares, no one is going to throw money away, or buy when the price could be lower, there is always a strategy, and the rich always want to be richer......
So what about the broker forecasts, what about Dixons white goods, what about PC World, what about if the share price keeps going south - a predator/take over scenario... just a dip for the dividend payout, but after that once over the holiday, September should see more positivity...
Anyone know the reasons why the SP has again dropped this almost 2%? Anyone optimistic for the next few months?
Hi Mulder, firstly many thanks for your informative input & pragmatic views. You have a truly realistic view & I for one appreciate your posts. SHP is undervalued or oversold, so hanging in for the longer term than one would have ideally desired, DC. slight disaster, but still good broker forecasts, plus a great deal seems focused on the ****hone side, there is still the Dixons side of white goods, & PC World... will wait and see, I hold both these shares, now I'm only looking for money back or maybe resigned to damage limitation..., I see amongst others you hold HIK, a very near miss for me, good luck & thank you.
Shaping up to be my worst investment again recommended by my stockbroker: as Woody Allen said: “A stock broker is one who invests other people's money until its all gone.”....
To be fair, the FTSE is down 1.27%, risers 17%, downers 34%, & non movers 50%, so however dull this share is, going red today could have its excuses.
I'm tanking too, but optimistically hanging in, it is August, so once the big guns are back from their holidsys, hopefully September will move matters forward. After all if it was known that theses shares were just going downwards, there wouldn't be any buyers, so these buyers must have some positive knowledge or thoughts.....
This is so dull, boring & uninteresting..... I averaged down - seemingly a waste but surely there will be some recovery although might be waiting for the Christmas results...
Hopefully you are correct, today 25% more buys than sells, so one hopes the buyers know something or are predicting an SP rise. I'm waiting rather than buying only to recoup losses, may step in once it sorts itself out? Can't see any reason for the drop unless it is manipulation, if it is then it will rise in time which is unpredictable.
There has to be some light somewhere, Friday saw nearly 2m shares sold and today over twice as many buys as sells, so there is optimism out there plus there are positive broket views, maybe boring but need to take a long term view, day by day is just disheartening...
Yes we can all have opinions and speculate, looking at late buys, 40218 shares bought at 1.743m.... someone must have a good idea, whether short or long term, one wouldn't invest that sum if it was going to loose...... out there this buy must have confidence and/or knowledge...
Hello mrbushi, thank you for the info, please explain more, the upside & the ramifications.... hopefully more positivity for the shsre price - whenever!...
Well that's done and seemingly no difference, substantially more sells than buys today which is disappointing, does anybody have a clue what's going on?...
OK SP went south today, but more buys than sells, so there is some positivity out there, hopefully next week will bear this out...
Was yesterday probably the bottom, and now we are bumping along? In my view there's good potential so patience rules and collect the dividend on the way.....
Cannot believe this, would be good to pick the bottom but that's a difficult one, if it goes that far I'll average down again below 250, but hopefully it won't happen. My broker has run for the hills, so once I recover, I'm looking for a new broker. Long term I have every confidence in this stock, plus there is a good dividend...
Totally concur with everything you say, I've averaged down once, may do it again, fundamentally it's a good stock.
So Andrew Harrison sold 1 million shsres, taking this into account there are still more buys than sells... so there is still an appetite for DC, maybe this stock will now be longer term than short, but brokers are bullish even taking the weaker views. Keep up the share chat please.
Anybody any ideas where this is going, is it because the directors are moving around..... Seb James being approached, plus one moving to Talk Talk?
Does anyone know why we are having another bad day..... is it the mm's again. There should be some upside but perhaps I'm expecting too much too some. Anyone any thoughts?
