Jerry - as Mog already pointed to (thanks Mog) a confident Jason Ward was happy to go on record to say that they were 5 stages complete out of 6, they were expected to be granted shortly and would be drilled henceforth.

Now I know the court case resulted in NM in an RNS putting pressure on by stating they would wait until the new year, court cases pending etc. But given the Minister’s strong ‘right let’s get on with this’ statements after the court case had been thrown out, and their immediate move to oust the illegal miners by force, I suspect NM now will find he has permits granted v shortly, but also pressure on him from govt to ‘sh*t or get off the pot” and to get a wriggle on.

TLDR version - we know on record the permits were shortly to be granted, we know the govt is keen to move the sector forwards (and get some tax revenues!), the permits will come, and pressure will be on NM to drill them

If we stick a pin or two in one of the new sites over the next 6 months and the results are encouraging, I think you can kiss 25p goodbye. I believe permits are imminent

The share price over the next 6-12 months will not be just about cascabel. Not by a long chalk...

FTJNY, that is a very good observation, thanks for sharing. Just goes to show the devil's in the detail.

When they put a few drills into it (a year or so ago), it was felt at the time to be disappointing, however I couldn't believe at the time that they'd written it off given their previous excitement about it.

I think it was the decision to focus on the all-in for Alpala strategy for the last 12 months that made them drop it, not because it wasn't worth doing.

However there will be some choices to be made - drilling some new shiny tenements (once the permits are received - Jason Ward certainly didn't think it would be long (step 5 of 6, right?) vs these other areas of Cascabel that haven't yet been drilled out.

Nice choices to have, but important that we decide on a clear strategy.

The laws were put in place a decade+ ago and have been eroded over time. So while I knew about them, they’ve been a factor really to date where there has been pre-designation of an area, which just isn’t the case to my knowledge in cascabel.

I also think the strong support and the recent mining policy from the govt somewhat change the game.

This will be mined, I have no doubt, and I think the govt would ensure that, and that solgold’s licence and concessionary rights would be upheld.

Environmental protection in Ecuador is very strong guys, the environment is in effect its own legal entity there. Protected/designated areas especially so

But it’s not always adhered to, cascabel is not in a specially designated area, and in any case the govt have countermanded environmental protection rulings in the past.

It shouldn’t really affect our outcome (I hope)

Tiger, check out coldcut’s post from this morning - linked to a local site stating the court’s expected decision date. There was some slight ambiguity in the translation but it seemed legit.

A poster said solg’s investor relations person had confirmed by email that was when they expected it.

For a non-invested individual to spend c.8hours / day (almost all xraytwaatt’s posts are in trading office hours you’ll note), to post nearly 400 times in the last 30 days (and not a single post on another board), 15 times (!) by 11.30am today alone - that seems like a paid job, or a very unhealthy obsession characteristic of mental illness.

Maybe a bit of both?? Who knows! :)

Unfortunately it does mean my view of the board is 50% filtered at the moment by weight of posts
