Fingers crossed that’s the case! altho a Cascabel auction does sound good, just can’t see NM going for that unless a big bid comes in unsolicited to kick it off.

Just goes to show how difficult it will now be for local populations to create challenges that are not constitutionally appropriate. Even in areas of designated ecological importance (which Alpala/Cascabel is not)

And the government has another check and balance in place with the Supreme Court, as you say (and rightly or wrong they do tend to be pro-government, as the positions are nominated or ratified by the govt executive)

The local news may rumble on, there are clearly local agitators. But regardless, the level of risk to the mining industry from this type of issue has been very significantly reduced.

The slow decline is testing my patience. Generally supportive of NM and I’m sure there’s some logic to the (silent) madness. But come on! Not many CEOs would get to see a 60+% decline in value over 12 months and not have to make some kind of comment. Getting frustrated

Still (my optimistic side reminds me) another day closer to true value. Tick tock... (to a subtle background of the sound of paint drying)

I think there’s an error on the FT site - 6 forecasts ranging from less than 1p to 2p??!! Not sure that’s correct somehow... (bearing in mind all the forecasts I’ve seen and that have previously featured on the FT have been 40-120p!!)

KB - dragon oil was my first share. Bought for 2p I think I got my dad to buy some too, I got a tip from a mate who’s brother worked in the city when they were 1p something and thought I’d missed the boat to be honest. Time passed, I pretty much forgot about it, actually lost my share certificate in a move at one point and had to get a duplicate issued by some Irish firm, and finally sold when company was sold

Agreed re W Irwin, altho his rhetoric seems to have changed a bit in recent months.

And agreed that this is probably to keep cornerstone cheap, but then we are also low priced which makes the deal no more attractive. Now if Blanca is a goer with good grades, that might make us more interesting to cornerstone share holders. Perhaps that’s the next stage

But either way to ‘announce’ merely an intention to offer for Cornerstone, and then not follow that up for months and months is really odd, and borderline misleading/incompetent, and certainly has contributed to this annus horribilis!!!
