Shame that we've had a good couple of RNS recently but nary a twitch in the stare price. I think any news will just be dismissed until funding is sorted and made public. We exist in its shadow for now.

However I don't think it will be long until we hear, and the reaction to that will be interesting to see.

Personally I think the drilling at BN is a massive step forward - real value to be added there. Can't wait to see some assays..

Jerry, I believe Solgold (or rather the HP Hubbard team that previously worked at drilling Alpala - although they may have changed drill operators since?) hold the record depth for drilling achieved with a man portable rig - over 2000metres.

Sounds like the BN drilling was only to 800m, so no problems expected there.

Come on Mather, get off your hands and at least make clear what your strategy is. This news blackout, given what we know to be lurking in the background (funding, CGP 'bid', permits) is descending into farce.

Blow me this is a slow process and challenging strategy from solgold at the moment. Still very much invested, and still absolutely confident that this will end well for share holders but it’s painful.

Who makes public an intention to buy out a partner, and then spends the next 9 months failing to formalise the offer and overseeing a strategy of keeping updates to a minimum, which has resulted in a significant drop in company value, which only makes the buy out seem less attractive to CGP?? I struggle to understand how it can have been so slow, and what the thinking is behind the current strategy with cornerstone.

I get that NM has his eye on a bigger but more distant prize, and I will gain from that. and I know that funding will need resolving soon which is another blip on the price, but honestly NM must be getting piles having sat on those tens of thousands of drill cores for so long.

Still not convinced production on Cascabel is what NM really wants, it’s too deep and will take too much £. But I think he wanted to take it at least this far, making taking it to production a viable option (which strengthens his negotiating position) and allows the price to increase before anything happens. I think he structured the register to enable that, and prevent a quick cheap takeover early doors.

If one of the new tenements shows a smaller, richer, open pit-able deposit (gold epithermal anyone?) on one of their other tenements, that’s the one he’ll take to production.

I bet he wants a small free carry for solgold when/if Cascabel is sold, too ;)

For a management team that has give from a sawn channel in some rocks 6 or 7 years ago, and a company valued at £30/40m just a few years ago, to being on the cusp of one of the world’s biggest copper mines, and a company worth 10 or 20 times that value (and that as seen my own wealth increase along side) I’m prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt.

You’re right, the permits ‘could’ only be 5% of the way progressed, at least in theory. But that’s not fact, and it’s likely they're closer to 95% done than 5% given JW’s statement of 5 out of 6 stages... if you want to exaggerate for effect. As you clearly do
