So what was the final result? The votes were 5 to 4 but they did not state in favour of whom. Comical and laughable if it were not to have such serious impacts for the future energy capabilities of the UK. It looks as though if they got their security fencing it would need to come down before Aug 8th. Thank goodness for Mr Earnest Mallet. Traffic concerns have already been discussed and overridden and classed as insignificant by the council's highways department. Some of these councillors have no idea of their own remit. Mr Mallet has struck a note of common sense at long last. All this for a temporary fence for just 18 weeks to protect the site and deter soap dodgers!

Councillors Don't they just like to pontificate! Can you imagine such narrow-mindedness in other countries. Its laughable, NIMBYs playing up to protestors! Enough to make oilers wrap their hands in and tell the country to go and bury its head in the sands. Who would believe it in this day and age of energy demand.

Great optimism Sting, as a LTH I hope it is not misplaced. Still sitting with my original amount of shares but would like to hear something, anything, soon. Hopefully UJO RNS will develop some enthusiasm, we certainly need it from somewhere.

There is still something at the back of my mind that makes me think SS will find the commercial sweet spot in the Weald. When and where I do not know but I have my suspicions that all is not lost by any means. I aim to hang on until it is confirmed, or otherwise. Could be a few months yet before we know, or maybe a bit sooner ...............?
