It can take 3 to 5 years. It will be a complicated application as it deals with IP rather than a physical object and methods of medical treatment or diagnosis cannot be patented. I expect it is the method of delivery that is being applied for.

Sharedealer. I have a similar situation in that if one person goes down the whole team is required to self isolate. Problem is that I can't get any cover the next day due to various restrictions and the place is a lab that works 24/7 . It would take 5 days to get the staff but we have to turn around test results within 24 hours as that is our contract. I am not looking forward to winter. The schools situation will mean that without doubt we will have lockdowns all over the place and they need to be strictly enforced to stop the spread.

Well spotted and it is Greg not Gregg the bakery chain. Primary schools aren't spreading it at the moment as they aren't open in England but it will happen. Kid is ill and do you keep them at home and take a day of work or send them to the school (day care) and get back to work? My wife is a primary school teacher and it is a real problem that cannot be fully addressed until the first cases surface.
