Excellent response by our Chairman to the article on ************* regarding UKOG. Some quotes:
"It is news that David K Smythe is a 'highly regarded professor' since he has been retired 20 years, his old university has done all it can to cut its links with him"
"Light oil means a thermally mature source, doesn't it? So without being an ex-Professor I in my simple commonsense way would say the presence of light oil means that the statement that thermally mature oil is only found somewhere else, further north, so there is no point drilling is evident drivel."
"Maybe those willing to spend good money drilling, then flow testing, have a better understanding."
"Anyone reading old BGS reports on the Weald will know how misleading and inaccurate on basic facts the statement that the presence of light oil has been known for 30 years is."
"There is light oil at BB; it appears to flow, and this is what the flow tests will test. If UKOG were looking for fracking targets, yes they would look away from fault areas; if they were as they say looking for naturally fractured zones with oil flow, they would seek out, as they have, areas like this."
"UKOG will speak for itself but maybe you have been fed this tired, reheated *******s by a short? This alarmist piece does not serve the cause of truth, or the best interests of investors"
