focusIR May 2024 Investor Webinar: Blue Whale, Kavango, Taseko Mines & CQS Natural Resources. Catch up with the webinar here.
PJ was buying shares a 4p+ and sold 1/3rd of his holding at about 0.6p. That’s c240% loss.
He sold just before sp went to 1.1p, implying he doesn’t know what’s happening with the business.
Alternatively what we believe is happening based on the interview is wrong.
I hope and believe he doesn’t know what’s going on.
They notified 6th May. They were selling whilst sp going up. Not now
1. Remember the book build was done in record time. No time for due diligence.
2. On day of placing large trades at 20% above placing price. More than likely as oversubscribed somebody wanted a larger slice of the pie.
3. Large group of trades today valued at £176k
Those that took part in the book build that wasn’t open to the general public had the nod?
Si Capital - I’m one of their clients and didn’t get a call.
Large trades indicates news leaked that isn’t in the public domain.
The sp rise IMHO hasn’t yet started.
4 buys totalling £176k is a good start to the day. Somebody believes incoming news is going to be good.
Paid 2.9p and 3p - well above placing price
Not a bad day considering no material news.
Looks like set up for another positive day tomorrow
‘No’ a typo
1. This so called dilution when it happens results in $1.7m additional cash reserves.
2. Yes - last paragraph clearly indicates why we have no RNS. Nothing has actually happened.
3. Alliance Resources (smaller prospect to East of our prospects) announced a placing for $2m today open to only existing shareholders. Great way to ensure LTH not diluted and all given opportunity to participate.
Forgot to add. I take longterm positions in companies. Not interested in trading. I’m interested in what the so will be in 12 months+, not next month.
1. If all options and warrants are exercised the company will receive £1.7m cash. This is a major cash injection into the business. Some will fund the purchase of their warrants by selling Cobra shares. Fact of life, it happens, so what? It’s also a fact that many who buy their warrants will not sell Cobra shares to fund. How are the BOD supposed to raise cash to continue their exploration? Cash is key for the business to progress on their trajectory of proving mines feasibility. They had £600k and will soon have another £1.7m.
2. 5 days at a weighted average of 3p and Cobra announce publicly that warrant holders have 20 days to exercise their warrants.
3. Alliance has nothing to do with Cobra Resources. They are a completely different company with prospects in South Australia.
4. I wouldn’t be surprised if they also sold their copper interests to fund gold exploration.

Where else can you get exposure to 9 different gold exploration companies by investing in one company?
Regarding Thor the States have announced they are going to invest heavily in strategic minerals to reduce reliance on China. Thor well placed as have one of the largest Tungsten deposits, just waiting for appropriate finance. Can therefore understand why did well last few days (not so good to day).
MTR 3.3% rise today. Would be happy to repeat that for a few more days. Would soon make a big difference to the sp.
I believe BOD are stepping up promotion of the business for the following reasons:
1. Simon Thompson is doing a following up article for IC
2. New website is about to be launched
3. Increase in Twitter posts by Metal Tiger (@metaltigerplc) since 16th April
This week we should have news on the following:
1. Cobre news
2. Pan Asia Metals IPO
3. New Metal Tiger website
Rich period ahead with plenty of positive news.
My view for what’s worth.
I could sell all my shares in MTR and invest in GGP but I won’t as I believe GGP is benefiting from FOMO. It’s a good story, but is a correction coming?
Those that have been invested in GGP for a while have made their money. They will promote the hell out of it and hopefully make even more.
Those that invest now, risk ending up holding the baby if results aren’t as expected. Why would I invest now having watched the sp go up and up? Surely the time to invest was weeks ago when all the hype was happening. You don’t wait to see if the hype was *******s before investing.
If this is the biggest gold discovery ever in Australia, why is the sp languishing at the current level? Why isn’t real money buying now? Why hasn’t the company been bought?
I have a very small holding in GGP and am going to let it ride.
I would feel sick if next week MTR started being the share benefiting from FOMO.
