As an adendum to what is required down the pipe. The general consesus is that demand for 2030 is approx 3 million tonnes of product per annum. In order to meet this target mines like Thacker Pass in the US has been earmarked as one of the crown jewels that needs to be developed asap. The americans are throwing big money into it but the kicker is......in order to get to the 3 million tonne figure the world needs 50 Thacker Pass mines........

Tom, irrespective of the figures and how anyone on these boards care to dice them up the BIG picture for europe and primarily the EU is the survival of the continental car industry. The OEM's to their shame have been caught at the wheel staring nito the light and carrying on as if nothing was going to change soon. If anything the speed of movement from the foreign incumbents has accelerated leaving the europeans staring into the abyss. They are atm in a desperate position. From my perspective we have here in cz a lifeline that would give them a toehold in the sector without having to worry about supply disruption.

I have an inkling that things are about to start that might just get all of us to sit up and take notice. Dare i say it but 2025 might be a watershed for the company......in a good way

Fingers, thanks for the update but I’m wondering where the 30k per tonne came from? I’d be more inclined to think that an offtake would be based on a floor and ceiling price structure. It’s anyone’s guess where that would be but I’d be more

inclined to think 17-25k.

Oversupply in the market is easy to say but difficult to quantify. As far as I can see a small decrease in output puts the whole equation into deficit.

Presumably the increase in output has been calculated using the existing capex requirements. As fingers already mentioned in order to up the production numbers higher than this would inevitably lead to more dfs work and number crunching. If i'm reading this correctly then this step is a major step forward.

This news will take a little bit of time to filter through and should help lift the sp into next year.

From a more general viewpoint I've taken a look at other production/pre production facilities worldwide and looked at their outputs and to be honest if they can produce at this level then they are pretty much up there with any facility in the world. Its all down to the numbers at the end of the day.

The strange people on here who have no skin in the game might just be left with a large splatter of egg on their faces pretty soon methinks........

Tom, on this forum it is viewed as highly suspicious by some individuals if you mention any correspondence with emh. I've done it as well for the right reasons but learned that some will look at it as ramping. Each to their own but I have decided to keep things like this to myself from now on.

Mick, fwiw I have posted over the years about CEZ and their intransigence in mentioning anything about Li, mining and gigafactories. Even when they do mention it a casual reader would be left in total darkness as to their partnership with emh. Take it as you will. Slow corporate movements on projects like this are part and parcel of western procedure in contrast to the chinese who steamroll and encourage moving forward.

The SP as it stands appears to be saying that this project is not going to move forward anytime soon, if at all. Highly disappointing at the moment. Knowing that I'll be in deep doodoo if it fails I take umbrage with the people on here that want it to go down the tubes in some kind of vindication scenario. I'm past the arguing stage. Life is too short, filter and move on.

Skelly, nowhere in the rns did it state when news of the dfs release would be communicated. Sept was the date for management to be given results but that is entirely different to how you’ve skewed it. Surprise surprise.

Any business anywhere in the world is a possible takeover target so it’s no biggie.
