The problem asi by continually trying to deflect the immigration issue which is what the left mainly do means you will just fail to address the problems that it creates. Today I have given you many examples of what happens and you come back with comments such as "migrants contribute" "There are British gangs".

I know there are but that doesn't tackle the migrant problems and until the left start to accept there are some major issues not just with illegal but legal migrants already here and keep burying their head in the sand and constantly deflecting then the issues won't be resolved and it will get worse. I have loads of examples and issues with migration but it is pointless as you fail to see any of it as a problem.

Shoplifting is the worst it has ever been you have seen the examples migrants blatantly entering shops with bags, dustbins and filling them up and walking out. Where do you think that stuff goes and what do you think it finances? A few years ago this was unheard of . Immigration is a complex subject and whilst illegal immigration is an issue it isn't the main issue. Over the last few years 1 million migrants have arrived here per year this includes family members who contribute little. The strain on all services at this rate is unmanageable as is being shown. There is no taxing your way out of this if it continues.

There are a number of issues with migrants Albanian drug gangs, Roma shop lifting gangs which then go on to supply shops at wholesale prices funding drugs, prostitution etc. Then the Mirapuri pakistanis mainly responsible for the grooming gangs in Rotherham, Rochdale etc which will be traced back to Bradford huge problem there that the authorities have turned a blind eye to. University student visa and care worker visa is scandalous what has been allowed.

Then you have the ghetto creep where immigrants of the same ethnicity congregates and gradually spread outwards as the indigenous population move out with the subsequent fall in house prices and degradation of no go areas. Think Roma in Harehills riots and Bradford, Birmingham and many more areas.

Muslims believe in faith first then family second everything else comes last. Many muslims are prominent in higher office pushing Palestine and anything to do with Muslims they have little interest in other communities. Labour think they can appease them they can't once strong enough they will form their own party and turn on Labour to push their own agenda already they flock to Corbyn's new party. Absolutely agree asi with hydro power it has been an opportunity missed. Cheap pretty reliable and can be stored. Don't start me on reservoirs and the water companies. For a start it would help if they actually put a CEO in charge in the water companies who actually had experience in how they operate.

Japan a number of years ago decided to upgrade all their water systems because of water loss running at around 25%. I think it is now below 5% cost a fortune but long term planning we just don't have that in the UK all successive governments are thinking about is quick fixes to get elected again.

Just another one on batteries last year the amount of renewable battery storage the UK had if fully charged would last only 70 mins before being fully discharged to the grid not a lot. May have improved a bit now but a long long way to go at massive cost.

The point I was making about solar was it started when the solar mix was at its highest and they ignored it to start with even though it caused some disruption. It continued to oscillate for several days until it ultimately shutdown. They don't mention it surely that was important when it actually started not just what happened on the day. Think they glossed over that as it highlighted they weren't prepared for it. Had they had more battery storage they could have coped they admitted it. The grid hadn't been upgraded to cope with the increase in renewable energy mix that high but looks like they have learnt from it.

Agree about the need to increase battery storage but they are expensive and do deteriorate over time think electric car batteries and how long they last. There is also a huge cost to connect all these different renewable energy systems and where they are based into the grid entire new transmission lines have to be built that wouldn't have been needed if it wasn't for introducing wind and solar which is all an extra eye watering cost and nothing to do with general grid maintenance costs as you rightly say they have anyway.

Yet, the true cost of this transition is hidden from bill payers. Wind and solar look superficially cheap when you pile all the external costs of additional grid infrastructure on to conventional energy sources. Not to mention the substantial back up costs when the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine.

We have no gas storage facilities or very little or they wouldn't have to sell as much abroad still plenty up there. I think Germany carry 90 days of gas reserves we carry less than a week as respective governments chose not to maintain our gas storage and have systematically reduced exploration to the point of cancelling it over the years with explorers reluctant to pay for it when our governments have walked away preferring to rely on foreign imports and the interconnectors. Problem with the North sea oil and gas successive governments went for the quick buck they should have done what Norway did with theirs.

As we agree on no coherent energy policy right from the start and the cost has been huge so far and will get larger with little relief in prices for the consumer. If they continue with renewables as they have started a number of wind farms will be coming up to be past their useful life so will have to be replaced as well as build new ones. Solar panels won't be the answer as their effectiveness is dramatically reduced in the winter of course you could just fill every field up with them instead of growing food. Electricity isn't going to get any cheaper.

Off shore wind farms have used up most of the easier sites to build on and now are having to go into deeper water with a substantial increase in costs plus the turbine wear on the larger turbines are prone to cracking.

One of the recommendations even though they say it had nothing to do with renewable energy is to improve voltage regulation from renewables by implementing battery storage for renwables. They don't use battery storage to regulate the voltage because they have never needed it before when there wasn't much renewable energy.

So if they had battery storage it wouldn't have been a problem but they didn't so why did it happen? No reference in the second report either to the issue actually starting on the 22nd of April and the ongoing issue they had from then just what happened on the day. Hmmm wonder why?

They would be far better off putting a halt to any more renewable energy. Reopening the North sea gas fields and building a couple more gas fired power stations to start with would be a lot cheaper and electric and gas prices would come down and it wouldn't make a ha'pporth of difference to the climate.

The entire country would be better off but I fear it is almost too late as they carry on up the cul de sac of net zero and the UK tax payer will have to find more money to pay for it. At some point maybe the penny will drop but I fear it is almost too late now.

Part of the reason it shutdown. The weakest point will always go first Badajoz was the weakest point and when that was shutdown the oscillations still continued, don't dispute there were other factors involved but the oscillations started on 22nd April and continued until it eventually shutdown. The Spanish grid couldn't cope with the amount of solar that was being produced they had been warned about this. Yes they had failed to upgrade the system to cope with it I agree. Funnily enough it happened when the solar supply to the grid hit a record. Also the energy supply from renewables can create different oscillations in the energy supply too much and it's a problem.

Gas is more expensive because every time they have to be supplied with more gas produced electricity because of the pricing structure they have to pay the highest price per therm of the highest enery cost and suppliers can charge what they like.

No they haven't costed it right GB energy government put £20 Bill in won't touch the sides. How much has the private sector put in? When the contracts were up for the last round for the new wind turbines fields there were no bidders because the price per therm the government set wasn't high enough. The suppliers couldn't make any money. Some suppliers are pulling out of making wind turbines no money in it at the prices they are setting.

I am not saying there isn't a place for renewables in our energy supply but it shouldn't be reliant on it.

Now all the current renewable producing infrastructure is in place why isn't it dirt cheap and the price of electricity much cheaper. What happened to Millibands £300 cheaper bills won't happen because it isn't cheaper.

There is no large scale viable storage capacity available. How much do you think it would cost and how green, ethical and climate friendly do you think excavating all the nickel, cadmium, lithium and copper is and also disposing of it when not useful any more?

The whole think hasn't been thought through absolute madness for no reason at all other than people jumping on a bandwagon, governments throwing money at it like it is going out of fashion and some in the industry making huge amounts of money out of it whilst the UK has the highest energy costs of any developed nation. Sorry asi you are missing the point renewables are unreliable the more unreliable power mix you have compared to reliable power the more reliable power you need as back up and hence it is more costly to just have gas turbines running on low ouput ready to increase as required because the wind drops You can't just switch these things on and off and the suppliers can charge the highest tariff rate to the government to increase the power.

Do you really think relying on importing electricity from outside the UK when we have our own natural resources is a reliable form of energy policy particularly in winter?

There was a huge concern last winter when gas storages were low abroad who do you think will get priority over the interconnecters when there is pressure on electricity generation the UK or the EU?

The Spanish grid failed because of record solar power generated caused a fluctuation in the grid power. The power suddenly dropped from 50H to 49H the grid self stabilized and then dropped 1.5 secs later unable to correct again it shutdown the grid as it was unable to balance and they hadn't put in the appropriate safety precautions to prevent this as the costs are massive and couldn't match the dash for solar.

Obviously this change in infrastructure and upgrade to grid system to incorporate is not included in the cost of renewables and has to match the increase in the amount of renewable electricity. They conveniently don't tell you this although the chickens are coming home to roost slowly but surely with the UK government. as they start to realise the £100 billion and more this will cost to upgrade our grid to incorporate more renewable energy. They tend to keep that idiot Milliband out of the way nowadays.

Wind and solar are unreliable forms off power and vary greatly day to day. Fossils fuels and nuclear are reliable forms of power. The more renewable power you have the more back up power is required from the reliable forms of generating power. There is a cost to this which should be included in the renewable generation cost. You have to have back up power turning in the background to maintain the grid if renewable generation drops and it needs to be a rapid response it doesn't take much disruption to unbalance the grid. You can't rely on foreign imported power if they need to redirect it to their own countries if needed. The grid was close to collapse a few times last winter.

ASI when the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine how do you balance the grid and what with when you have systematically destroyed your coal, gas and oil generating capacity over the last generation?

Where is the cost factored in renewables of importing more electricity to balance the grid or pay operators exorbitant rates to fire power stations up when the above happens which it does particularly in winter? Also the cost when turbines have to be switched off as the wind is too strong or they have to be switched off so they don't unbalance the grid.

None of the above is factored into renewable energy costs. The costs are absorbed by nuclear and fossil fuel generating plants along with the subsidised cost of renewables. It is only a matter of time until it all comes crashing down and we get what happened in Spain when their grid crashed due to it being unbalanced from their reliance on renewables the warning signs had been there weeks before it happened.

Don't dismiss the $56 mill debt written off making the total sale value for all assets relating to chrome/pgms as $143 to $146 mill.

There seems to be a fixation on pgms and the stockpile this is a finite resource and no guarantee of what the pgms price will be some of the figures bandied about for profit are just unrealistic.

The most important link some are missing is the dependency of pgms on chrome processing.

Before you shoot the messenger Leon and JLP have certainly made some mistakes with how they have profiled the chrome/pgms business with the partnerships but maybe some of these were the best and only deals on the table no-one knows this only them.

The deal is the deal at this moment in time you either vote for it or you don't.

If you vote against it then there will probably be dilution if they want to advance copper and eventually over the next few years chrome will wind down as the pgms stockpile dwindles profits will be determined by the relationship between the chrome and pgms prices whichever way either go that is a gamble you have to take.

If you vote for it then cash is available to advance copper but it then becomes a one horse play which at the moment the only guaranteed production from copper is the bought in ROM for Roan with potential to increase from other avenues they are currently and can work on.

You roll the dice and make your choice.

Never they haven't given it away for free they will receive $87 to $90 mill in cash plus they are writing the debt of $56 mill off don't underestimate the debt it is significant was impacting profitability. There was remedial work needed on the stockpile and they probably anticipated they could process some at the 3rd party but it is full not surprisingly.

Pgms are totally dependent on chrome. Stockpile won't last forever if no chrome to process. I wonder if they considered buying the private company who supplies the chrome? Although it would have been a massive dilution.

Until they properly define the resource in the mines Gotreal and deliver on a consistent basis we don't know how good or bad they are.

The LWP is unknown how profitable it will be until we hear back from the 3rd party or process it ourselves.

At the moment we are processing ROM so all this going for a song processing tailings hasn't really materialized yet.
