Can I ask if there's any relevance to the fact the share placing was 31 days ago, I seem to recall something and it seems coincidental that the new ceo was appointed 1 day after a 30 day period, which is often a cooling off/declaration type period?
Not a big poster on Lse, but a reader of posts on shares I'm invested in, just thought I'd thank all the people on this board that contribute with all the data/information they find.
I looked into Eua as it was coming out of suspension, and all the signs looked very good. I'm invested on at a small level compared to some of the posters here, but I'm enjoying the ride none the less.
Not going to try and guess the sale price, not skilled enough to do that, but as a maths teacher the numbers do look extremely positive and I'm pretty confident of a good return, imo of course.
Oh and now I know how a ceiling fan works!
Given how well AML has held its own this week, I decided to increase my small holding by a couple of thousand at 69p, as a maths teacher the numbers definitely add up for me. Don't like to repeat what lots of others have already said, but can't see anything bit positive movement upwards, with the odd blip of course!
I did a similar breakdown was why I first bought in, except the share price was in the 45p range, and then I bought again at 30p to average down, I even bought more when it dipped into the high 50s last week.
This along with the new investors and its pedigree is the reason I'm here, and would probably invest more if I could.
Firstly my apologies to ask this on here but it's the only forum I've posted anything to, but I've just had RBS shares close on a stop loss at 81p, whilst also being notified they had hit a target of 175p, I can't see this low price on any live share price, which leads me to believe an error, however could someone just confirm todays low just so its not just me losing the plot, thanks in advance.
Wow what a day, in my early weeks of trading someone on here told me that you can end up spending all day looking a your stock prices, that's pretty much sums up my day, have had a fantastic day with this, along with VMUK and IAG, would love to go same again tomorrow but I think I need the rest, nice bottle of red tonight.
To all those who feed info into the group thanks, I don't always have time to dig it all out, and it's very much appreciated.
Wildtigger.... I mean tiger, do you have no friends that are telling you how much they want to get back to normal life, yes c19 will have an effect, noone knows how much, just the same as noone really knows how much this share will climb by next week or next month, however what they see is a very shrewd businessman and a pedigree CEO coming in, who together have the ability to move this prestigious company forward, even myself in my very limited experience can see the positives massively outway the negatives and if you can't see that specsavers always have a 2 for 1 offer on, heres something buying/selling shares involes risk, now bounce away......
As someone new to this, and my pennith for what it's worth, when I was doing my background reading on stocks that interested me, I would back read through posts on lse, just to try and get a different feel, I will say it took a week or 2 to see through some of the nonsense posts, and I definitely let them taint my opinion of whether to invest, I appreciated the likes of WG and similar posters who basically pointed them out. However I would say that if you intend to invest, even at the small amounts I am, you need make decisions based on your own investigations and not just by someone saying "28 tomorrow".
As someone new to buying shares, can I ask, is it always this manic!
After some research I felt aml where a gamble but a reasonably safe one, I bought in on the downward path at just over 40, I almost bottled it and sold out at 30 ish, but thanks in part to some of the posts on here I didnt, not the ones who shall remain nameless... "28p!" , so I averaged myself down a bit.
And then today happened, that was almost as frightening as sitting in the passenger seat when the wife's driving!
My purchases are small compared to some of you, I'm not quite sure how you stay sane.
If nothing else, it's the most excitement I've had for a couple of months, and here's hoping I get excited when it's time to sell. Phew....... P
