43m trade was in error. Someone taking out a stakeholder. I think there could be many wanting to takeover porta. The company is making money. Ignore these paper losses. Asian businesses could make 3m profit? That is huge. Below 3p is a bargain.

Well there are people in background exchanging shares. Looks like they are trading from 2.8p to 3.15p. Not sure how long this is going to go on for. If they have millions of shares this could take a while. Especially if they have stable market conidtion on selling them. This is the problem with issuing shares to stakeholders.

Redleaf have moved into Porta's HQ. So this should reduce costs in future years. Not sure what rent Redleaf was paying elsewhere. Can only add to the bottom line here.

@ Planitearth - They will hold between 4-5% of shares. They have to inform the market each time the pass a certain % mark above 3%. Once they fall below 3% they are under no obligation to tell the market. So if they sell from 6-4.9% they have to tell the market they are below 5%. Etc till they fall below 3%. As others have pointed out they have likely loaned out shares to the shorters. Lot of the major shareholders will be doing this given 11-12% shorts here. The rise today is likely Valiant clearing it's position. Hence the support at 115-118p here. Not over yet. No updates on the shorts today yet.

It means they have matched h1 numbers. Gross profit is after cost of sales but before operational costs. The 2.5m figure makes sense as no 300k banking facility costs. Adjusted means a loss. Will be costs from closing Summit. So H2 has been slightly better as no revenue from Summit. I expect revenue to be circa 39-40 million. More write downs too on brands etc. Gross profit up 3m compared to last year. Not bad.

Just to bring this back to reality I meant value of deals in H1 and H2. Clearly Porta does not have revenue in the billions.I would still expect revenue in H2 for Porta to be stronger than H1 based on these numbers.

Newgate did 16507M USD in H1. Full year 38980M USD. So revenue compared to H1 2017 - 16507. H2 22473. Suggests revenue in H2 up 36% compared to H1. Should be am interesting set of results come May if these figures hold true. Of course we don't know what deals below $5m they did.

They were 6th the year before. 23 deal count compared to 19 last year. Brunswick had 68402M USD in first place. Brunswick is a much much bigger firm. This fits in line with Newgate Australia advising on some big government projects worth billions. The Japan table is disappointing down from 6641m to 952m USD. From 5th to 10th. Probably 1 large deal here from previous year. Samsonite maybe? 2 deals same as last year. Global League table has Newgate at 19th down from 14th. The value is up 16.8% compared to 2016. I can't find Redleaf on the 2017 UK tables. They were 19th last year on the deal count. Small compared to other firms. All transactions are over $5m USD. So it only tells part of the picture. I think we can expect to see profits in Australia to surge ahead for 2017. Profit on continued operations for Asia was 1.5m in H1. So we could see 3m in H2. 62% back to Porta in H2. Uk operations made loss of 2.6M in H1 but write downs, loan costs and the new banking facility accounted for over half of this. Reduced loan notes to 8% in H2 will also help. Plus increased ownership of Redleaf and Aus to 62%. Issue might be costs relating to Summit. The above is where a deal with SEC could help. They might be able to arrange cheaper loan deal with Hawk Holding. They can certainly reduce costs by sharing Porta's HQ for their UK operations. Plus cost savings from cutting out management. At some point the write down in assets has to come to an end as Newgate is becoming a global brand. Just needs a bigger footprint in Europe which it will have with SEC. Maybe not so much in America yet. Not sure what offices SEC has there. Africa/India can wait for another day. Still no RNS for January. Quiet month I guess. See what results in May? bring. GLA.

Valliant is down 0.53% on the 25th! Marshall Wace still climbing on 24th. Given share price someone else must have increased their short position. Valliant maybe responsible for the buys today. Seems to be day traders and shorters buying and selling here. Interesting that Paul Scott bought in at 103P on the 24th and sold at 113p on the same day. He almost bought back in today but thought it would go below 100p. Worth following his Twitter.

I think it will go below a pound. Albeit someone just bought 250,000 of stock. See what the shorters do here. Certainly no one is mass buying back the stock yet. When that happens the share could surge. Directors being locked out also helps the short here.

It usually takes 24-48 hours for the shorts to show. Some show next day others take longer. The problem is working out what is going on and how much of the support is from shorters managing the trades. I still wonder what their exit strategy here is. See what happens today.

Millenium increased short on 23rd by 0.12% World Quant reduced by 0.03% on 23rd. Valiant Capital management reduced by 0.13% yesterday hence the rise here. So lots of shorters managing/Increasing their holdings. Tomorrow others will no doubt report about yesterday.

It was down 6p or so yesterday. Down about 5.45p at present. Any rise or fall here could just be the shorters. Won't know till at least tonight or Fri/Monday to see what has really happened. No idea why this site showed 121p this morning. HL showed the actual price. 2 big trades today. 10:07 - 25/01 Buy 1141814 109.40p 11:29 - 25/01 n/a 2734618 108.40p Unclear if second was a buy or sell. Looks to be a buy hence why now at 109.7. Buys around 11.40 were higher. So clearly some big support here in background.

How will a rising pound affect IQE? Have it's deal been agreed in UK Pounds or US Dollars? Pound is back above $1.42. Up nearly 15-20%.

Why should they? They gave you no update when the share surged to 180p. If they start doing RNS on every share price movement they will be doing one daily. They are also likely in the 2 month period before the results. So all directors will be locked out. You had an update about 1 month ago. What else do you really expect? 'The Group is scheduled to report its full year results for 2017 on 20 March 2018, and will provide forward looking guidance at that time.'

It's gone from 15p to 180p back down to almost a �1. Revenue is up about 20m from 130M to 150M. If I was a buyer in the background I would be waiting having seen the persistent shorting in the background.. Guessing the new short position from yesterday will soon be 1-2%. If the shorters are so wrong why do new positions keep being created? They know their game. Tough times for investors that got in at over 130-170. So what is a fair price for this? Brokers still rate this at nearly 200p. Will directors start buying? I am not so sure. Most will have gained millions from the rise from 15-100p. See what happens here. Looks like they are aiming for �1. Not sure they will get there. Maybe some shorters will reduce now? Unless their target is lower? At 120p they seemed very happy to target it.

Not really been following this much lately. Not really seen much Huntsworth news. I don't follow their Twitter. The SP has not moved much lately. I do search the Holmes site for new. Overall a good PR firm holds news close to it's chest. Release news when it is convenient to do so. My gut is Huntsworth is slowly moving to a mainly US base here. Sure they have offices across the world but 60% of revenue in dollars. The pound has gained against the dollar lately so this may have a small impact on results. GLA could be a very good 2018 here if the new US businesses do well. Some Grayling news.
