Battle mountain mining owned many plots but reading their history it seems they were consumed by replacing their million dollar mine in the US as it was near the end of its life. Hence the Bolivian mine. They didnt go ahead with Pyramid as they probably thought it was too small and wouldnt give them the payback they wanted. Why go after 10 plots when a massive one would do?

Battle mountain did the drilling 1988-89. Pyr1 drill found anomalous gold up to 1.5m grading 1.64 grams/tonne from 10.7m in depth. The two other drill holes tested a parallel vein west of the Ruth vent system. This soil anomaly is open ended and continues strongly to the northwest/ southeast boundries of the sample area. Pyr hole 9 we know about 1.52m grading 17.8g per tonne from 94.8m down with a broad zobe of low grade mineralisation continued to the end of the hole at 115.8m where the 1.52m graded 2.6g per tonne.

Pyr 10 targeted the sane western soil anomaly 150m to the southwest but was interpreted to have drilled in the wrong direction and made no significant gold intersections

Battle mountain did not carry out any more exploration. Battle mountain mining look to have concentrated on a replacement for the ‘Fortitude’ mine and in the 90s went after a Bolivian mine as its replacement.

The drill results should be significant as they are drilling in a know gold anomaly with a hole thats already given a good grade. The drilling will firm up the grades for the area.

He wont have a job if they cant get finance and I doubt he would have taken the position if he had any indication that KAT couldn't get finance. We all forget as well KIBO owns half the shares of this company.
