Nomark, I was actually trying not to be too sceptical. I really hope you are not talking bs but so many do and it is impossible to tell. Put it this way over the last 5 years there have been a succession of posters on here saying they have an inside track and this is ridiculously undervalued. Trouble is they were saying that when this was 0.3, 0.5, 1.0 etc. When it was around 1 to 2p there was one (where are you now paragon17 ?) who was saying 20 to 30p. So hopefully, this time it's finally different, but until then, surely you can see why as far as I am concerned, seeing is believing. Atb.

Hmmm. Not sure Oilex need to be helpful as far as the bidding process goes. All the field data is available from Gspc. Says so in the tender document. However, Oilex are sure to make it clear who they would rather work with.
Still seems most likely that a preferred partner, via Oilex, would match the highest bid.

That's all perfectly feasible Conger, except that there is no court involved, just an agreement between Oilex and gspc. Completion in 90 days is not totally binding, they just have to use best endeavors.

Incidentally, your figure of £28m for 100% is almost identical to the 3.8m USD when 10% was sold 4 or 5 years ago. That works out as £29m. Atb.

Mrinvestment. Great post. Refreshing to see something that is thought through with actual calculations. Inevitably these have to be based on assumptions (2006 is a long time ago) but this is still better than the usual wild predictions based on nothing more than wishful thinking.
There are as you say a lot of positives. The cash calls owed, incidentally are several million not one million. Hopefully we will get at least some of that. Unfortunately, there is one big negative. In 2006, I don't think anyone was aware of the difficulty of getting the gas out of the ground in commercial quantities. Hopefully, the new techniques will solve that but they won't know until the exploratory wells are underway. Wouldn't be surprised if some potential bidders were put off by this uncertainty. Atb.
