MI. Once we got the rns saying there was a bid, I never thought that there was any chance of it not being sold. Also thought there was also very little chance of Oilex exercising the ROFR. We still don't know if it is going to be sold for peanuts or something mega. Hopefully the latter as Aaron has indicated. I really hope this rise is maintained but see no logical reason for it.

Yuri LOL. Never thought I'd see the day when you turned negative. Most of last year when I was really pessimistic, you were saying buy more. When the settlement came in September my view changed and I eventually averaged down to 0.325. At that point I felt I had a better than 50/50 chance of getting my money back. Feel much less sure now but there is still a chance with the right deal. This waiting is driving me nuts. Every night at 11pm when asx opens and morning at 7.0am I am hoping for the rns that puts us out of our misery one way or another. Atb.

Pretty much agree MI. There was no compulsion to do anything with the Cooper projects any time soon. They could have left them on the back burner and either disposed later or gone ahead when/if they had the cash.
There is of course a Plan C, the East Irish Sea for which they have set up a separate company, Oilex EIS Ltd.

Obone. Yes I think you're right about raising the cash. However it would have meant massive dilution. Would we have wanted that? Might have been better to wait . I would imagine it was Brad's
reputation that enabled Doriemus to raise. Actually thought they might struggle as they are more than trebling the number of shares which would normally cause a big drop in sp.
Personally, wouldn't be totally amazed if when the dust settles, Oilex don't sell their Cambay share to concentrate on the East Irish Sea. Not saying it's likely, just wouldn't rule it out. Gla.

Obone. It would have been impossible for Oilex to do anything with Cooper for several years down the line as there are a million or two in start up fees before drilling even starts. I had assumed this was one for the back burner if and when money ever came in from Cambay. Of course, as Yuri suggested it might have been better if Oilex had sold Cambay to concentrate on Cooper. Guess we will know going forward (just for you Chesh. Lol.).

1. We couldn't afford it.
2. If it had of been, we would know by now as there would be no need for due diligence or regulatory approval. Atb.

There is going to be a separate priority offer to existing Oilex and Doriemus pi's, but it doesn't look like the shares in payment for the acquisition can be easily sold for a couple of years.
