Fair enough MI. We just don't know as usual. It will be a real cause for concern if it drops further. I would have thought a bid as low as £3m would be pretty disastrous as it would not only value Oilex's share at less than the market cap but also demonstrate a lack of confidence in the asset. In that, hopefully unlikely, circumstance they would struggle to raise even that £3m.

That's obviously possible Mike but if that's the case it doesn't demonstrate much faith in the outcome from the option exerciser. It may be an instant profit but why wouldn't you wait for a bigger one if you believed ?

Agreed Mike. Could see it creeping up a bit next week and then falling away again if there's another long wait. So much depends on the shape of the deal.

Certainly, wouldn't criticise Callum for posting the ONGC story as it was a legitimate cause for concern. Surprised it hasn't gone to at least the mid 0.2's as we were almost at this level a week ago. Still that's one hurdle out of the way. Obviously, going to make a huge difference what the bid is. Agree Mike. I would assume that any potential bidders would base their judgement on analysis of the data provided by gspc. They would then quantify it in terms of potential risk/reward and bid ,(or not) accordingly.

I think you are missing the point Joe. It's not a question of ONGC or anyone else drilling and not finding gas/oil. They don't deny it's there, it just a matter of getting it out of the ground in a commercially viable way. As I say, the hope is that the recommended techniques in the Baker Hughes study will mean that Oilex will succeed in this. That we won't know until the two exploratory wells are drilled.
