last weeks dramatic ups and downs it's hard to know what to expect from the rns today or tomorrow. Got a bit carried away with Thursdays rise thinking perhaps news of a great deal was leaking. Seems less likely after Friday's fall. Very much doubt we will see firm details of a jv, more likely something like a statement of strong interest from a number of parties. I guess nothing's impossible though. Hedging my bets a bit there. Lol.
As for the Cambay CCS, again likely to be encouraging noises about preliminary discussions. They have said the project is conceptual at this stage. Hopefully, news on the uk CCS soon. Might give a bit of a boost but of course any returns are a good few years down the line.

Never exactly made a fortune but still worthwhile. There were one or two that got away. Especially ARM. Bought at 70. Thought I had done quite well when I sold around 140 only to see it go to nearly 20 quid! Atb.

Elegance. The NPV of $725 million is based on the drilling of 10 wells. The NPV means net present value. That means the expected future revenues are discounted by a % from what they would be in the future to what they are worth now. The details are given in the presentation on the website. They have assumed that the flow rates will decline by 40 % per annum. The 725 million us based on 10 wells. If all goes well they say a full field development could involve up to 30 wells. Of course nothing is certain until the first new wells are drilled and the flow rates and decline rates are known for sure.
As for CCS, impossible to value as any returns from that are 3 or 4 years down the line. Others have said that the award of a licence will mean institutional investment and a big sp boost. In the short to medium term everything hinges on Cambay. Atb. Gla.
