Actually I think the general consensus is that life expectancy dropped when humans became farmers instead of hunter gatherers. Sure the population increased but there was more disease, famine and conflict.
Not having the political bottle to make a decision is one thing, refusing to grant the concession and then handing it over to LKAB is quite another. They wouldn't dare, it would destroy any future foreign investment in mining exploration.
I think everybody will have it in mind it reached 18p before yet another delay when they last made a 'decision'. Whatever happens I'll be keeping some until Production or sale or bust, whichever it is. It'll be nice to see it through in some small way.
ibjj, au contraire, I think we probably do learn. There have been a couple of big sells (Ed maybe?) holding the rise here back but Sweden is forging ahead. Somebody is selling big now...why would they do that? Probably hedging, taking a bit of profit now after buying low at the end of last year. I have, after all it was obvious it would rise once a new government was formed wasn't it, or perhaps you didn't realise that? I still believe the permit will be granted but I'm taking nothing for granted and, as with the last two rises, I'll be taking profits as we go once it's hit specific targets. I'm close to retirement now and a little more risk averse than I was. I'm hoping that double figures here will coincide nicely with a Brexit-style crash to allow me to get some cheap divi stock.
I think we probably do learn from our mistakes, you on the other hand...
Usual Wednesday surge in the hope it's on the agenda on Thursday I'm afraid. I wish I could trade over there, easy money.
However, there is an underlying positive trend, you've only got to look at the Aktie chart for this year to see that.

The map is included because we have not seen anyone who bothered about the world heritage when it comes to moving Malmberget and Kiruna, and establishing other mines. Those who feel that fear just seem to concentrate on Jokkmokk and it surprises me, says municipal councilor Robert Bernhardsson (S).

"No government is immune to this challenge and a taste of the difficulties can be seen through the experiences of Beowulf Mining in Sweden, where management and investors have been frustrated by significant delays at the Kallak North magnetite project as stakeholders work their way through issues related to environmental sensitivities," Cann said.
"The headlines being created around the issue will prompt an industry reaction. At this stage, the reaction is likely nothing more than raised eyebrows but if another company starts making headlines with similar issues, the industry is likely to start asking some pointed questions ahead of investment."
