focusIR May 2024 Investor Webinar: Blue Whale, Kavango, Taseko Mines & CQS Natural Resources. Catch up with the webinar here.
I've got mine down to 0.09ish so not much of a sp movement for me to be out of the mire.
I have a bit less than 10 million, but it is still a fairly big chunk for me.
I think the factor that we sometimes overlook is the fact that Italian's, love them, or hate them, do things without a sense of urgency.
The PNP regulations for example took a couple of years or more for the tax register to be realised!
It's seems to me that if its just the Italian pipeline being monetised, then what would appear to be a long drawn out affair to us, is quite normal to our Italian friends....patience in this case is our path to glory....gla.
Quite chuffed with myself for now having two posts pulled by those who choose to deny....!
Personally, I can't wait to see the posts of those who have had no faith (due to their own agendas) when the revenue's and contracts are released....SOON!
We've all been through the ringer regarding Syme, AZ included.
The time is upon us all in this 1st quarter regarding the faith and belief we have in the company.
We have as lth, set out our stall. The derampers have set theirs, and so far they have the floor.
Numbers and revenue is all that matters now in this quarter. I for one believe that this moment in time will be recognised in history as the pivotal beginning for the starting point when SME's broke away from the stranglehold of inadequate, inefficient and expensive financing, to the world of freedom from tied up capital and continuous freedom from financial restraints.
Here we go again...Bigmac69! Really!
20 posts, another reincarnation of the same type recognised already by those a bit more savy than yourself...
Why can't you allow lth a day off of your nonsense?
Every lth knows the sp history, we do not need it rubbed in our noses!
Get a life and let us enjoy our small, but well warranted day in the limelight...
You forgot the 4th ns....pray for a miracle!
Must admit, I'm questioning my wisdom of topping up last week, especially as the update has been taken poorly by the markets!
We need news on revenue prospects and we need it soon.
That would be good Ell.
Looking at the volumes today, which are the same through different platforms it seems more investors are adding Syme to their portfolios, and realising that there was actually a lot of underlying information in the RNS to which they have obviously understood and have decided that syme, as we're struggling with these tough economic times may well be the tonic SME's have been looking for.
That's fair enough TF you are entitled within the rules of this BB to express your opinion based upon the same knowledge and updates as I have seen. I may disagree with your sentiment, and eventually hopefully soon, one way or the other all will be revealed....
That's ok kaiser but, I would imagine you ply your trade in a well and established industry where all the i's and t's have been crossed many years before.
Let's not take this out of context, Syme is start up without any history of what they are trying to achieve.
It's a new and unique way of monetization for unsold stock which normally would be accruing a lot more interest payments in its warehouse whilst awaiting sales than it potentially could through the Syme model.
They are thinking out of the box and overcoming more obstacles than we are likely to know about.
I don't doubt your credentials but it's only right to remember this is unproven ground which is being trodden, along with the many pitfalls that always await new, innovative ideas....
You look at the 3% fee involved and there's £10.000,000 + right there.
When the 1st IM is signed off by the relevant revenue office the funders will follow, and then I suspect will the big numbers.
Interesting debate this morning about the rights or wrongs of Syme.
The way I see it is that had this rns appeared a year or 18 months before, everyone might be praising the concise, professionally way about which AZ is building the company from the foundations up.
Let's not forget what has actually happened these last two years, what with covid closing down what seemed like the whole world at the time to Russian land grab in Ukraine plunging economies into chaos!
I can see that it looks like a repeat of previous notices, but there's a lot of work obviously going on in the background which could make Syme become the company that we are all hoping for.
Doubled my holding Wednesday and am very happy and confident that in time, when the breakthrough comes my decision will be very much vindicated.
Have a nice weekend all
C1p2D, Syme do not deal with distressed or companies in financial difficulties.
They buy warehoused inventory off balance sheet, freeing up funds for the said company whilst they sell stock.
Syme take a 3% fee from the company which is paid as the monetised inventory is sold.
That's basically how I understand it.
It's funny MG, it reminds me of that time some 40 odd years ago being so impressed as I used my new cordless phone in the backyard thinking to myself, wouldn't it be wonderful if we had something like they use in Startrek which we could carry with us and make a call whenever we want!!
Little did I know that the apparatus we use now to make calls amongst other things, is more powerful than the computer aboard Apolo 11!!
My point being that I would dismiss digitalisation at your peril, who knows what's just around the corner.....

Totally frustrating start to the new year!
It would be nice to have an update of sorts, especially as Syme continually seems to play right into the hands of the naysayers....
Expected end of year Italian regulations release came and as of now, still no news!
I fully understand how AZ has changed tact regarding release of information after so many false dawns, but.
Surely an update of how things are progressing wouldn't go amiss, especially as has been pointed out here, the money will run out eventually without it coming in!!
Yes, it does look like a pretty good deal, and the loan from an Institutional investor is certainly encouraging suggesting confidence in the company long-term.
"the soft launch of our GS20 Exchange, and the progression of our application for the Company's stablecoins to be admitted to the FCA Regulatory Sandbox."
That's the clearest indication so far regarding the Sandbox application, that the application is still being worked through, and as yet has not been admitted, that's how I read it but I could be wrong.
