You can reinvest the divis in HL, as from April free of charge, from as low as 10 gbp. It happens on the 11/12 of every month, you can set it up easily.
If unsure on how to do it you can give them a call, they are always helpful
I like this, ANIC companies are very active on LinkedIn.
However, no idea when will any of them start to sell products. A lot of posts on all the correct ESG things, a lot of hiring posts, a lot of "we attended this conference or were featured in this article". But somehow I get bored of all that, i want to see products on shelves.
I am not losing faith in ANIC or the companies it has (most of them), but yes a little patience
I find easier and more insightful to follow the companies in Linked In, and their founders.
They post everything there before it is out anywhere else.
Solar foods had a couple of nice announcements on NASA and ESA projects, by the way.
Ape, I think you need to dive a little more into ANIC portfolio and perhaps a little more into the industry.
There are a bunch of pretty solid companies we would not have the opportunity to get into otherwise as retail investors, only through ANIC. There will be many other successful companies that will not be part of ANIC portfolio, that is for sure, that does not mean ANIC companies will not be.
Unfortunately it means we need to put up with the management fee. I think it is a lot, but cant judge whether is fair or not to be honest, but I assume knowledge and contacts have it price.
You might not get rich quickly with this. But we will all make money with time.
Lets not pretend we can be "activist shareholders" in a forum chat. Its a waste of energy.
The choice is ours, either we remain invested or not. You seem to have chosen.
An short article on Liberation Labs, in a obscure publication, but i found it quite interesting.

Hello idg
I think New Age Meats is clearly toast.
I wonder what is the "capital failure rate" or whatever name the metric is used in VC has ANIC applied to the investment portfolio.
How many of the companies do they consider sufficient to succeed, what % of capital.
But I think you can go through he portfolio and given the news, teams and status start figuring out which ones are not going to make it.
I don’t think that we will see it in 2024. But the other day the founders of BioNTech said the UK regulatory environment was very open minded and easier to work with. The strong life sciences base of the UK helps as well.
I have heard the same from other food innovators.
Let’s hope it is true.
I am happy for them to sit on cash and wait for the right investment. As the note says there are many dimensions to check when buying the type of property set in the strategy.
I like when the board has clarity on their strategy and not "opportunistic". They are in no rush to burn the cash. Just waiting for the right opp, probably mid of next year once we see how valuations and pressure on leveraged property owners pans out.
Hello, i found this map on the current landscape of alternative protein companies.

I hope the link works
Txs for sharing. It has been a long time since we know from Formo that was one of our poster child companies. I wish there were more details. I for one want to buy something from them as soon as it comes to market.
I do not know if you follow other precision fermentation companies outside of ANIC portfolio.
I follow Perfect Day, and it is just impressive. Not just the amount of money the have (huge) but also the products they are launching and the collaborations they have (with General Mills, Mars, Nestle, MyProtein)
This is the latest of their news:

It is the company I would love ANIC to have, but the total funding they had so far up to 2021 was already 750mio. However this shows that PF transition will be unstoppable and coming of age very soon.
Absolutely huge news for the whole industry. We should expect a raft of approvals from now on.
Come on bluenalu!

hey buddy, about a 20% of my portfolio at the moment, but in terms of money "in" higher than that...
I was looking for the "future" part of my portfolio, the high risk, the trends of the future. I wanted to bet on something very concrete and that was very meaningful to me in terms of positive change. I settled with the new agrarian revolution. I never thought it would take so much of my portfolio, but the more I researched it the more I liked it. Its a high conviction bet for me. I might lose it all, but I really, really, really like the dream on offer.
I recently topped up 30K shares to reach the 200K shares I had as a target. Unfortunately average 32% higher than current price... I'm so heavy on this that I am going to pause any further purchases and go for dividend paying shares all the way now.
