Working nights Tesco is most convenient for me,theres still a couple of 24hr stores near me(Huntingdon and St Neots).Aldi and Lidls are both within roughly a mile radius of these, great for produce & meat.Personal opinion is that asda is the worst quality.Aldi german ham fantastic value and the ham trimmings 400g for about 1.70 We're beginning to sound like a bunch of old women lol.

Carlsberg is about 80p cheaper in spoons than Carling,preferable for me out of the two. Stella,Estrella or Guiness would be higher up the choice list,most of my village friends would only drink ales(yuk).

Have you tried aldi or lidl?
