Coil pack was ordered last night on ebay,est arrival at local argos drop and collect is sometime tomorrow ive got a tracking number.Your right about plugs being seperate,nowadays plugs last around 90k whilst 2 packs on zaf and insig went at 38k and 48k,to be fair driving 2 cars 60k in total thats the only thing thats gone wrong with them.

Ive got a good mechanic but will mention to check plugs as well thanks for tip.

Phoned roadside rescue to come and look,their analysis machine said fault in third chamber of coil pack.(due to be delivered tomorrow),so I got them to transport car to favourite mechanic to fit late wed /prob thur).

A coil pack is a strip of 4 spark plugs linked together and easily interchangeable through one interface,its a clever modern way of enabling a mechanic to change all 4 plugs in about 2 minutes.You can get repair kits to adjust the individual plugs within the pack,but its much less hassle at 40 pounds just to replace the lot.
