With contracts in Oct starting to add up combined with poor market conditions I feel now is the time to start adding for growth in the coming months.

I was sure that the SP would rise into Divi date and fall quite quickly after. I had noticed that the buyback had dropped to 100,000 each day (assuming that MNG was expecting it to rise) but can't say it did that much. Ex divi date out the way back up to Buyback of 2.3m 19th, 2.4m 22nd and 2.4m 23rd. (so perhaps MNG thought it was going to drop and would pick them up cheaper) ? But it hasn't really dropped away either (well not into the 1.90 level as last year. Perhaps the daily buyback is supporting the SP? Or have I spoke to soon !! still pretty good in current climate.
Is your Cup half empty or half full, mine is more than half full.
We have declared an interim ordinary dividend of 6.2 pence per share, payable on 29 September 2022.
With the interim dividend, we will have returned over £1.5 billion to shareholders in dividends since our establishment as an independent listed company in 2019. In addition, we are also making good progress with our £500 million share buy-back programme having deployed almost £150 million to date.
We will have returned £2 billion to shareholders since listing after payment of the interim dividend and completion of the share buy-back, approximately 35% of our market capitalisation at demerger.
Outlook
This is an encouraging set of results against the current challenging market backdrop which demonstrates the resilience of our business model; we feel momentum is continuing to build in the business and we are well positioned to better serve our customers and clients and take advantage of market opportunities as they arise.
We have delivered a consistently strong investment performance set against a challenging period for our sector. We expect this trend to continue through the remainder of the year. The shift from net client outflows to net client inflows (excluding Heritage) was a key moment for us and we aim to build on this going forward. We believe that M&G Wealth now has all the building blocks required to progress on its journey to becoming a major player in the UK Wealth market.
To leave a false cloak of normality for Asian investors who normally would not trust anything run by China (maybe)???
About 6yrs ago I was looking to invest in a Petrol Lawnmower, I certainly tried to avoid any inferior Brands. In my haste I chose a Mountfield as the brand was I thought Historically reliable. However after several months I had problems as the head gasket leaked and the head bolts had not been tightened at the factory. On speaking to a lawnmower repair agent , I was told , what do you expect the Chinese took over Mountfield some years ago and they have been crap ever since.
SP been quite dormant for quite some time with as you say seems difficult for it to hold on too the £10-£10.50 Range So views please on the following . Over a year ago I posted that Once the Split from Jackson had settled, would Pru become a target for itself to be taken over. Is the time right now for Chinese Bank Ping An to capture more of the Asian Market ?????
I once bought a fake Rolex Watch in Spain, I was told by a friend it probably had 3 Micron gold plate on it... after the second hand fell off and my wrist turned green I dumped it. Hope the same can't be said here. Come on Condor hurry up? Plus no news on MILL....
Left scratching my head on this one rob, I wouldn't say the SP is rising nicely as it has gained only 2p since my post on the 23 July, ref my thoughts on the matter. It might improve today on the Continuum F/S news yesterday or may not. I must admit I was hoping for £2.30 going into EX Div. I also noticed that the share buy back figure seems to be around the 100,000 a day for the last week also. Which may be that they assumed the SP would rise and then fall after EX Div when larger repurchases will resume ? but may be reading to much into it as probably fully automated system. I wouldn't be selling Pre EX div as I hold quite a few and the divi is worth it to me and I like the stock. Re my post on the 23rd July , the only way I might have been tempted was if the SP would have risen to over the £2.35 mark I may have sold immediately after Ex Div date getting my Divi and assuming a drop in SP of 10-12% before buying straight back in thus gaining twice. But again probably to hairy fairy for me as I truly Think SP if all the worlds troubles started to settle down Should be at Least £3.00 by year end. Good Luck everyone.
This time last year we were roughly where the SP is today.
Wonder if we will follow same traits this time round. In June we had reached the highs of 2.49. But fell back in July to 2.11. Then steadily rising to 2.34 into results on the 10th August.... But despite some reasonable results then proceeded to drop over 12% into Sept to a low of 1.97. Confirming our insane SP.
I don't want to spook the SP, but as Jatw says results due 11th Aug, Roofer Highlighted Saudi Kingdoms holding investment of 269 million and the continued MNG buyback. All in uncertain times, will we see a continued upward pressure on the SP ? Good luck everyone.
