Cheese board and Orkney oatcakes, and a nice glass or 2 of Grahams finest Tawny Port.

Oh and a few bottles of Innis & Gunn Carribean Rum Cask Scottish Red Beer!

Not a Geologist Chesh, but originally they may have assessed that Tai 3 was giving them all the options through Intra Lake Beds, Base Lake Beds, Top Karoo, Karoo Sst, and finally to Basement at 1100m TD, with multiple chances of obtaining the free gas we all wanted.

After having to go another 350 metres to reach basement, with increasing difficulty, and finding the concentrations improved the deeper they went, you would have to assume they surmised that the basement might be their best chance of success.

So, they needed the drill fixed and smaller drill and strings to carry on at Tai 3, so the obvious thing to do while waiting for all the equipment, is to go and Drill straight to basement at the shallowest point you can find, hence tweaking the Pad to a different location at Itumbula.

That's how I see it, anyway!

If this is the site, then it looks like they are going straight to the basement at the point where the apex of the basement is shallowest below ground level, approx. 600m TD

The Karoo Shales and Sands all seem to bunch up tight to the basement layer at that point, so perhaps they're disregarding them as they have Tai 3 readings and results, and are going straight for the jugular!

Could be a quick result!

Obeying the Environmental Impact Assessment conditions then, lol

Weather Forecast

Just to counterbalance Coco"s weather forecast previously. Accuweaher predicting no significant constant rains till 5th/8th December , with intermittent thunder and clear spells from now up until then. Plenty of time to get set up a going.

Could the new location for the Itumbula 2 site indeed be the Storage Camp Rukwa.

Suggested such to John (Skittish) on Telegram, bu no sign of Pad works as at 17/11/2023, but it may be camouflaged.

Sits southwest of Itumbula1 and perhaps over the main fault line?

Beside the main road, so no road work required. Possibly easier to manage ground conditions if wet.

Difficult to make this clear and precise, but what I’m trying to say is that the helium gas is trapped in the brine liquid, not dissolved in it. The liquid itself is trapped by layers of seals, so can’t migrate to the surface on its own. So if the concentration of helium improved beyond 0.8% which it is above the basement, to say 3% in the basement, and we provide a hole to let it escape ie the borehole, then assist the process with air or water pressure, we technically could have high concentration helium fizz gas ready to remove from the liquid at the surface.

Process and purify, tank up and off to market!

If fracking shale gas can be economical, then surely the fractured material they are describing in the Basement area could be approached in a similar way, with a massively more valuable resource?

So the question is, if the helium detected in the brine water is not free-flowing, can it be forced to the surface with water pressure or compressed air, and then separated at the surface economically?

Presumably if concentrations were 2-3% in the basement area, this becomes much more relevant?

Basically Fracking it out to the surface?

Can the helium be separated from the brine solution by trapping in a vessel above the liquid which is obviously heavier, as the gas is not dissolved, ie “fizz gas”
